Interesting haven’t seen or played night time sieges in awhile. Rough settlement for attackers inner keep inner towers plus I think you can put artillery there as well. I think gaps like you pointed out bud, could’ve been the critical key to win. Liked the sally out should’ve focused on archers. Tylis maybe a bit too aggressive. Excellent commentary and tips and tricks. Interesting new thumbnails for cover. Keep them coming.

Attackers had this in the bag, they botched it so hard

As in any competition passive opponents usually lose and the other side capitalizes on that. Attackers had several opportunities to bum rush, hold up one side of the defenders and squeeze troops through the other openings. Should have also saved ammo for those pikes at the end. Great battle and love night battles.

The attackers should have won easely , like Joe said on each side where gabs !! So pitty, Even the attackers did good, I think they where kind of newer players ?? it took a while bofore carthagoo moved up all his troops, and even forgot his general and annother cav unit ..... If you keep to long fighting on those gates every second you lose a soldier by those towers. I also think somme players didnt realise what there units where capable off . Reteating 3 units tribal warriors and let youre general fight against pikes is looking for trouble. Annyway , it was a verry enjoyable battle to watch ! I guess somme attackers learned its better not to show youre backs by running away. Better option is to keep on fighting ! Sommetimes almost complete units will flee if you retreat them from the battle.

honestly this settlement is very heavily defender friendly it should always be fought at -1 defender, like this one it should be 3v2

@flyingtank4322 when you pull a unit out of combat, it will lose extra men on the retreat. If you wait for the reinforcing unit to get into combat first, the retreating unit won't lose any extra.

Why did Bactria not retreat?

It was poor communication on our part, this was 2 years ago and we were communicating on steam. He pulled a Custers last stand.
