Definitely looked like a good combination.

Hi Joe, first of all the defenders had to retreat 20 minits sooner. By retreating they could have a lot of support form the archertowers ; In the alamo they had somme towers who could have taken somme kills from the attackers. Saw also somme units do suicide missions! Trowing units of 60 men in pikes is pure suicide. They could be usefull later in the game. 60 man in a units still can do deadly flank manouvers . Defenders also used lots of units on those yellow blob. Those yellow blob men where exausted for a long time and kept on fighting . In my opinion the defenders could have saved lots of men , they could have used them all in the endgame... I alreddy told you archers without ammo can still be used verry deadly and usefull . If you let archers without ammo fight against exausted units they can get somme kills. Always try to save as manny men as you can. they can comme in handy later in the game, and sommetimes if they fresh, makes differences, also the unit is hakf strengt . Annyway a strange battle with strange moves , tactics and ideas. annyway thanks for share this vid with us. for sure you deserve a like for youre complete comment !!!!

Bravo to Sparta never seen them used so effectively on attack before. Great battle.

The funny thing about Sparta is that they are great when you use archers effectively.... which is ironic given their history. I've never seen Sparta do well without their archers doing amazing

​@@liamsloan5410Most of the time and even in this match, my archers job is to kill enemies's range units. So, in the end my Rhodian actually has tons of rock left to throw at weakened enemies and my Spartans are not too hurt

@scorpiontdalpha9799 I'm assuming this was ultra funds due to your army build, but in normal circumstances Sparta doesn't really have any killing power due to it being a spear faction so you need like 800 kills by your 4 ranged units just to get the 2000 kills per faction for a win because with a Spartan hoplite based infantry army you are likely to only get like 100-160 kills per unit if they do well.

@@liamsloan5410 There is a video from Joe about a match with a standard fund Sparta achieved close to 4000 kills. You can search it like Joe Onit Sparta and It should be close to the top. The thing is that Hoplites aren't bad, they are just hard to use. If you use them well, they can get 100+ kills

Good to see a DLC siege. Not a fan of piling up units. Good targets for range not to mention tiring units unnecessarily.

Strange battle. I think palmayra dced although the likes were moving around but I don’t think any player would pile 4-5 units of yellow spearman in the center at that choke point. I’m iffy on other dlc factions due to historical nature and some of them are very OP aka Gallic rome for example. It was nice though to have one on each side for fairness I guess. Like the settlement although can be very defensive friendly like Cyrene because if arrow towers with choke points. Enjoyable to watch Sparta on attack very unusual and get 3k kills. Typically chosen as a defensive faction. Commentary always great tips and tricks always great. In many games you do get players that drop out. Typically everyone drops out and you start again hopefully. Sometimes though players play and it is always interesting to watch sometimes what the AI does. Sometimes the AI acts like Hannibal or Cesear I’ve that in some of my games and other times you scratched your head or yell at the screen no no no or what are you doing?. Nevertheless enjoyable battle. I like nabatea as well very versatile. Excellent tips and tricks. Keep the sieges coming.

Palmayra DCed at the start of this battle seeing the armies push in like that. I have had that on my team before on attack.

Senones is from Rise of the Republic. Palmyra is from Empire Divided.

aha.. Fighting with royal spartans and big blobs in 3 choke points for 1 hour must have been verry intense...

@@BillyRnS I wouldn't be if we had unlimited time. The golden blob took lots of time to finally break through that 1 small choke point and remember that we got a bot on ourside. Also eventhough Royal Spartans are good, you have to use them wisely in order to maximize their power, unlike units that you throw in a fight and forget about them like Praetorians, Oatsworns or Sword Masters
