A LOUD "surprise" awaits every geocacher at this amazing geocache!

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

This WVTim gadgetcache has a "surprise" for every cacher. Pushing one of the buttons will have an "air horn" provide you with quite the startle! Instructions on how to build are provided on all my video's.

What a fun way to Geocache... pretty slick. I'm just getting into Geocaching and your video makes me wonder why I waited so long. Thanks for being a cool person.

I totally didn't know that about the "drilling thing". I signed up for a groundspeak account like 2 years ago, but stopped geocaching when my GPS broke (I broke my phone and my GPS on the same day), and my new phone didn't cooperate very well with the Geocaching app. I've got a new GPS now (finally!) and I'm so excited to find more interesting caches. My fiancee and I will be going on a roadtrip in 2 years and I really wanna find the "best" caches in each state!

This cache is now archived, but in its place is a NEW cache that uses a microprocessor. SCBC 5 Extremes. I like to rotate out my older caches. It's always sad to see a cache with over 500 fav votes archived but its always good to make room for more new caches.

+gadgetcaches Do you keep your older caches? If not I think you should sell it if its popular enough for people to want to steal it. Make them collectables- the legal way

Being retired helps. Gives me time to spend time in my wood working shop and create caches. But, the other thing I do, I always get permission from the property owner. Since most of the caches I have shown so far on youtube are very visible, I always get permission. Also, you have to be careful to follow the groundspeak guidelines. Drilling a hole in something that you didn't bring is not allowed. : )

You should offer these for sale unpainted so us other cachers that don't have the ability to build this can plant some more interesting caches out there. The reason for unfinished is so we could semi camoflauge them or do one like this chik fillet type.

I build mine by trial and error. I'm not one of those fancy design guys. So.... it take me hours to build my caches. I really hope my videos go into enough details that people can buiid there own. This build is rather complex. Now, my newest video, is really easy to build, all you would need is a hand saw and a hand drill and its a GREAT cache. The Key is the Key be sure to check that one out, it is easy to build.

I am hoping the video shows enough details to allow cachers to build one. I really don't do, diagrams. I get a concept or and idea and just start "trial and error" in my shop. I wish I had the ability to do some of the diagrams that I have seen other cachers do, but I just don't have that skill. If you start building and have questions just hit me with and email, I'll be glad to help any way I can.

I fabricated something like this today. The build was interesting, now to paint it and place it. With mine I have a door with a lock where the swag will go and the only way to open the lock is to get the code from retrieving the log.

(if they hear it) they would probley think nothing of it. might come to see what it is then walk away. probley won't find out how to open though, if they even know it should. and why would they want to anyway?

How do you have time to properly plant these caches? The moment i break out a drill to mount a Birdhouse cache anywhere...suddenly there's a muggle or a cop or a park attendant! I'm not the most experienced cacher, but I'm dying to know how you get some of these ornate caches actually planted in their area.

Nice idea to add an airhorn. It brings more attention from non-geocachers to it, and increases the chances of it being damaged.

I've been trying to place gadget caches I've built at a nature area near me, and looking at your videos, it looks like you chain some to a tree where there is a Y in the trunk, but this tree doesn't have a Y??? How do you attach your caches to the trees (without hurting the tree) without having the chain slide down??

I'm so exited to finish it and hide it, but even more testing it for the first time, when it's completely done! :) I really love your videos! The only problem I have is, I wanted to use the same garden lock you did, but they're not available. So I ordered 5 of them in the UK, but the parcel is not arriving, so we thinking about getting our money back. Makes me so sad, because I want to finish it!!! :) So EXITED!

gadgetcaches my cache was stolen by a cacher, i was walking by it to do a log book change and i see someone looking for it, i see a geocaching bumbersticker so i continue going and decide to get subway(down the road) and i bike back and see no one is there and i go to it a see its gone! well my friend who lives behind it(the cache was hidden in a tree knot and he can vein it from his room) well he saw someone and decided to record to show me if its rated well, well i go to it and see its gone, i look around and another cache comes by( the FTF was taken but i made a note there is a 2TF) so the guy must have seen it and the next(one who came while im searching) asks if im here for it and i say yes but im doing a log check because it rained alot and i wanted to see if it was water tight enough. I tell him that im looking for it and tell him that my 2tf prize was claimed a moment ago but if he can find it ill get him something from my cache bag(HAS REPAIR STUFF FOR MINE AND OTHERS AND MY LOOT(oops caps lock SRRY)) well wedont hind it and i told him ill msg him on email if i do/remake it so i go to my friend who text me"dude someone took the cache) so i bike down the hill to his room(its a storage shed he made a room for himself) well i get there and i see the guy who took it and his face once zoomed in(great HD camera) so on my way home i decide to check a cache under a bridge on my way home and guess who i saw... the theif i see it in his backpack pocket and i aproch saying hom im a cacher to and how i was looking for a cache i made was missing and the one he has look alot like mine. he panics but the only way to his car is to wade in the pond or go about 1/4 mile loop. and i see he has a screw driver next to the cache(screwed into the bridge) with one of the parts next to it. lets say he cant return in the area for 5 more years
