You are a big inspiration to me. I live alone now that my wife passed away several years ago. I'm doing things around the house and staying busy with my buddies going motorcycle riding to small town restaurants for lunch and such. Before I found your channel, I was not very motivated, but seeing how energetic and creative you are. Has gotten me going again and content at 70-year-old. Like you say (Quoting you.) if this skinny girl can build and repair and stay motivated so can you. ha ha Thanks

When I heard she got an intern I was worried about someone working for free on the holidays. Then she pulls up to her nice house and I’m like nevermind. Carry on, get that work experience. 🤣

In the future you could keep a "Road Kit" in the truck. A plastic bin with jumper cables, tool kit, tow straps, duck tape, first aid, ect. just in case of a break down. I even keep and extra set of clothes in mine just in case of rain or bad weather.

Don’t ever call yourself stupid! We are just not aware or in the moment. I love your vids and have been watching for quite a while! I am 68 and can’t wait to retire( 1 yr) and begin my van life! I have traveled many years alone and dealt with frozen pipes ,splitting and hauling wood after work( because I didn’t do it when I should have. Life is short girl,you are doing awesome….enjoy life and do what you do❤

If you drive in winter make sure to have warm clothing, emergency blankets, candles, and lighters in your car in case your car breaks down and you don't have any heat. It's one of the first things I make sure of in winter because we live in mountains where cell phone coverage is spotty and it cold and snowy.

and water and snacks, and a full fuel tank. Its happened to me. It was 6 hours in a snowstorm before help came. It was shitty being all alone, no cell service, not knowing when someone (if someone) was going to come down this untravelled road, but I had all the above and knew I wasn't going to die.

I also read so much that I'd get in trouble at school for reading lol and it 100% was because I needed an escape from life, foster kid life was hard growing up and caused for alot of anxiety and unknown in my life at a young age

It's hard to remain closed minded when you have been in the mind of so many other people ❤️ My life is now amazing, I was adopted at the age of 14, to my second foster family (wasn't the best situation and I have little to no contact with them now but will remain forever thankful for the better environment and opportunities) both biological parents are passed on, I also lost my older brother to his own hand and no living grandparents, lost my last one this past year (grandfather) But married into a wonderful family, me and my husband have been together 8 years and have two children, my youngest being 4 and I now get the opportunity to stay home and homeschool her, I own my own home, have a dog and a horse on 5 acres, this spring I'll get to grow my own garden 😁 it might not seem like alot to some but I'm so happy that my children have such a wonderful childhood and my home is secure, it's everything to me, a loving family and comfortable home. I've been reliving my childhood through my children as we play and experience things I always wanted to growing up, and I hope my enthusiasm and presence in the experiences make them just as happy ☺️

Hannah if that ever happens again take the rear drive line out from under your car. And put it in four-wheel drive your front wheels will still drive your car home. I hope you have a better day.

Once the cv joint breaks (like yours did) just pull out the broken drive shaft it should slide right out. Then as he says, put it in 4-wheel and drive with the front wheels

On the drive shaft fell mine fell off once backing out of my parents driveway. I'm prettt sure my dad just fixed it and I was on my way. Glad you're home safe. Bless you and Merry Christmas. Be safe in Mexico

I don’t know how but my mom always knew when I was reading under the covers with a flashlight. As I got older I’d read till the wee hours. Mornings were rough. Home room was a nap.

My dad had the same thing happen once. He just removed the broken driveshaft, duck taped a big gulp cup to the open hole on the transmission, and put it in 4wd. He drove it as a FWD only truck for like a month. FYI for those whose may need a self rescue.

A Little Life is one of my all time favorite books. I read it several years ago and still think about it frequently.

Hannah plz consider cycle syncing. There’s a great read “In the Flow” by Alissa Vitti. There’s so much to it but part is planning activities according to your cycle (for ex. planning down days during PMS and heavy period days.) You will find your energy levels will be so much better the rest of the month. Seriously this was a life changer for me. Women are expected to adapt to the 24 hour solar which is a man’s cycle vs our cycle which is lunar. All work systems are designed for men’s needs NOT ours. It felt like taking my power back to plan my life according to my monthly cycle. My health, my emotions, everything feels more balanced now. Also I’m a rugged country girl raised on a ranch, this is not a sign of “weakness” like we are pushed to believe. Big hugs to you 🧡

14:40 on the staining forever feeling. I do it with paint for me the stain lets me look for patterns in the grain at least ,were painting (with out objects in it lol) is so flat. I'm loving limewashing walls it makes for a light effect on the paint not a large paint sample in my mind.

Look at all the cute, cool gifts Hannah's viewers brought to the Meetup. For all the shelves at home she showed us how to build. Nice!

When you said you were punished by having your books taken away because that's the only way they could punish you, and everything and i do mean everything you said after thst, I have never felt so close to you Hannah, cuz same🙊🙈🥰 I don't think I'll ever stop watching your channel!!❤

pro tip: its also good to run your mower until the gas runs out before winter. old fuel isnt good for a mower motor, but it also wont break it. something to consider next year

Love watching you build your (2nd!) homestead. Honestly, it is really looking great. I do get nervous for you when you’re getting ready for a trip because you always insist starting a project the day before. I’m afraid one day you’re gonna forget to pack something important. Such a mom-like thing for me to say. My kids are almost out of the nest and I can’t wait to live a quieter live. You inspire me.

Love your adventures that you share. Isn't Life wonderful even the good and bad. Such an opportunity we have. One thing I always hated about taking the car batteries out was that no matter how careful I was I would end up with holes in my shirt from the acid you could not see.
