You may not want to cut your rhubarb when you harvest it. You are supposed to twist it and snap it off at the base so it tells the plant to grow a new stalk. If you cut them the base just sits there and doesn't regrow a stalk. Just a little tip.

Hi Hannah, if you add some water plants to your pond to create shade it will not let the algae grow. The light is what causes the algae. I used potted plants sitting on the bottom. Waterlillies are really good ones because the pads cover the surface and block the light.

Good job on the soldering. Some people never get the hang of it. If you keep a cold, wet rag handy when you're soldering and immediately wipe it around the joint when you're done, it immediately solidifies the solder and you get fewer leaks. As a bonus, your solder ends up shiny silver instead of that burnt look. As a Maintenance guy, it's fun to watch you learn all of these things by yourself.

@@hannahleeduggan It's such a long hard journey to accepting your flaws and learning from mistakes. I hope to one day be in the same mindset as you, but it's an adventure regardless. Love how positive you are and it REALLY is encouraging seeing your failings and learning and eventually not failing! It normalizes making mistakes and showing us that you don't know everything, but opening it up for a learning experience. Algae growth is of course favored by light, but mainly by too many nutrients from the fish waste in the water. On the other hand, aquatic plants, which use up these nutrients and thus remove them from the algae, naturally help.

a tip for you when you sweat the pipe , aka solder, have a wet towel and after you melted the solder wipe it around you will get a clean looking line while it still hot the rag will cool it also. for the windows you can use bondo or wood filler and sand it to repair it , then use primer i'd do oil based primer and like a elastomeric type paint and window caulking to water proof dont forget the flashing ! maybe also on top of window make alittle awning to divert the water. and then buy some curtains or make them

Now save the copper pipe for the garden Hannah....good to deter slugs and look into Electroculture, where you wind copper wire around sticks to help your plants along with good energy.

Learning the safety! Also, learned the soldering!

When you go to fix piping. You have to soldering (sp?) to the pipes to the new fittings. (those connector pieces). That's why the work you did leaked. Of course, also you have more than 1 leak. So fixing them all is imperative. You can't run water right after doing soldering work either, you have to let it dry.

Hannah! You just taught me how to fix copper plumbing, you did great! I love how your brain works, because it's like mine. 😊

I love your optimism and energy and occasional realistic chaos and honesty. I know you can't share all parts of your life but I appreciate that you represent real problem solving and the learning process of new skills. I am a human too, and I approach things like you do in most ways (but with more F bombs and dogs). The world needs more people like you ❤❤❤❤❤❤
