Nina Nikitina, who works for a translation agency, is also busy with preparations for her upcoming wedding. But from time to time and in total secrecy, she leaves her office to watch, from a careful and discreet distance, an 8-year-old girl called Varia. In fact little Varia is Nina’s daughter whom she rejected after giving birth to her. Nina cannot forgive herself for this cruel decision, but gaining custody of Varia now is impossible, as the girl has two wonderful adoptive parents, Masha and Andrey Gromov. But when Nina learns that Varia’s adoptive mother has died in a car accident, she is beside herself with worry, well imagining what the orphaned girl is now going through. To be closer to her daughter, Nina decides to leave her job and enter the Gromov household posing as a nanny and child psychologist…

She is so beautiful and kind. I am happy for her.
I have only watched the first two of these, and after the first I was not sure I could take another one, but glad I did. There is no programming on American tv for normal humans. Everything produced for American television is either insultingly stupid or perverse, or usually both. It’s hard to overstate the extent of the horrible messaging from American television producers. It wasn’t always this way. Finding this series, based on real people, with real problems and real emotions, dealt with decently, makes the world seem like a better place, like there’s hope.

Wow, these are the real people with real distresses, tragedies and emotions. The all cru is fantastic, and little girl "Varja" is unbelievable talented. Thank you for uploading, Russian movies and series are much better than from USA.

I thought for sure I must have skipped an episode....nope...actually, it seems that it's typical of otherwise well-written Russian TV programs, that they are often vague as to plot developments. Perhaps, more often than in screenplays, they decide to leave it to the viewer to understand.
