I’m not sure why Alex needs a break from his family that he helped to create. I understand that his mother is ill but he needs to get his priorities in order. You always made him a priority in your life and for him to decide he needs a break is unacceptable behavior. He’s not a child that can just play house and then go on his merry way. I have watched this channel for years and he is consistently gone from home working on his career while you were at home taking care of his children. I’m so disappointed in him and he should be ashamed. I’m sorry that things have been so tough on you. You don’t deserve it! I hope you are better soon and get all you want from life! I can't say it enough you are a super mom. I know you have had help you still have been the glue that keeps them kids going. I probably would be in bed but you and all your kids are at church and dressed nicely. Love the hair dos. That woman was a blessing.

Your heart is broken but you are looking at things with such forgiveness! Grace is offered to us all! Keep close to Heavenly Father I know he will strengthen and guide you!

You are amazing! My husband “left” our family 11 years ago when I had 5 young kids. He ended up coming back and I thought we had made it through those struggles and were doing ok until a year ago when I found out he had been living a double life and he left us again. This time for good. This week marks the 1year anniversary of my divorce. I only say all of this because I just want to let you know I understand. I think you are being an amazing mom, human, wife and example to all of us 🙂 God will direct you and your sweet family down the right path.

@@TheBigFamilyJewelsHe wasn’t gone for very long the first time-but I found out at that time that he had been having a year long affair with a neighbor 🙄 I ended up forgiving him and taking him back-and thought after 10 years we had recovered-but then he left again-for another affair. I have finally had to learn this time that there is a difference between forgiveness and staying in a situation where I’ll keep getting hurt (and my kids). I do still have a lot of faith that marriages can be saved-even in the hardest if circumstances-but BOTH partners need to want it to work and give their marriage 100%. It’s really hard to keep a marriage alive if only one of the partners is doing everything they possibly can to save the marriage.

I used to work at a soda shop in Provo. Zander came in once with a large group of boys (scout trip maybe?). I recognized him from your channel. The other boys were all being so rude, throwing coins at the staff and blowing their straw wrappers, but your boy didn’t participate. When I called his name for his order, he was SO polite!! I get that people have opinions…some based on their own life experiences…but this is THEIR life. If Julie feels it in her heart that her marriage is worth saving, then she deserves support in that. If you don’t support that, there’s plenty other videos on YT that you can comment on. She has enough going on without people constantly piling on her decisions in the comments.

So sorry to hear about your situation. I can relate to it in some way, I have 44 years with similar kind of arguments and discussions. Probably a bit different life turns but still relateable. I wanted him back, he came back after 12 years only to get into same arguments and situation again and again. I finally found answers in description of narcistic personality. You should have a look at those videos and check if that is relateable and maybe even rethink. I regret that I wasted lot of good life for several useless repeats, hoping for a better time, forgiving the unforgivable and in the end still being alone and hurt. I wish you all the best and that all will be good.

You are such a good example to your children. Marriage is such a hard thing when one of you is struggling. When we get married we say till death do us part or for time and all eternity. Not just till one of us has a crisis. It’s so beautiful the way you are giving Alex grace for his time of crisis. I literally have been praying daily for him and for your crisis that his crisis has put you in. The measure of a strong woman is in standing strong and not giving up. If Alex grew up without his father he may just think that it’s what is normal. That a father can be absent and the kids will be fine, not true. Julie please don’t let the kids think him being gone is normal it’s not. They need the truth. Counseling for you and the 5 older kids would be best. ❤️💕🥰🙏🏻

Awesome video I pray he comes home to you guys as well I miss seeing him in the video I pray his mom feels better as well I know he misses you guys too but he really has to work on himself and whatever he's going through so he can truly be there for you all My dad had a stroke as well and trust me it really takes alot out of you especially knowing the type of person he was to the person he is now so it takes a toll on your life. I pray everything goes well for your entire family just trust God that it will all work out for your good I'm praying for you all. I am homeless with my grandchildren and believe me I am at the end 🔚 of my rope with not knowing what's next. Hanging on to our faith is the way I do daily. Being a single mom with 4 kids. (3 are special needs) I’m post divorce. The last two years have been hell. My ex was abusive. We have been left with nothing & I’m disabled. Divorce is rife & very hard right now. You are blessed you have family to help. Be prepared it may get a lot hard before it gets better.

Julie I am so sorry, I had no idea. I've been subscribed for a few years but don't have time to watch every video so I was surprised to see a comment on a recent video I watched about Alex leaving. He is so rarely in the videos I didn't notice his absence. I was married to a man like Alex and like you I thought if I was good enough and prayed enough he'd come back. Well he did come back every year or so for a few months or weeks each time, long enough to give the children and I hope again, and then he'd leave again. Once they know you'll keep taking them back it makes it easier for them to leave. All my actions did was allow him to hurt our children over and over again. Everyone and every situation is different but I had to tell you my experience since it is so similar. I'll be praying for you and Alex and the kids.
