Not sure why everyone is freaking out over this. In another video, Julie clearly stated that she asked Zander if it was alright to post this, and he agreed to allow it. Julie is an amazing mother and would not do anything to harm her children. Y'all just need to chill!

Hey, that shoulder pain from the air they fill you up with is no joke! Tell Xander to put his arms above his head and grab his elbows, then go right to left with his arms. It usually lasts for a few days, so if it gets really bad, he could take some gas relief pills, like simethicone, which is over the counter. That should help, but also be aware that simethicone can cause constipation. Best wishes to you Xander, you're a great kid!

I HAD THIS TOO AND IT'S AWFULLY PAINFUL AND I THOUGHT THAT I WAS GOING TO DIE FROM THE PAIN !!!!

I wish adult hospitals looked like that. Adults have emotional needs while in the hospital as well. Sometimes more because our parents aren’t there with us. Someone should start a movement or something. Preferably in Atlanta, ga

God bless him. My heart broke when he made the comment about his drink. Zander is an Angel and protective over his Momma! Such a sweet boy. I pray he’s healing well and his pain is easing from the surgery. I’d recommend a pillow of stuffed animal to hold on his stomach when he needs to sit up. That helps an insane amount with the pain. 🙏🏻❤️

I am praying that Zander gets better soon and it is good that he had the emergency surgery on his stomach

So cute that he told the nurse his dad couldn’t have any juice because he made his mama sad. What a sweet young man!

Praise God I am praying for you guys in fifth grade my appendix bust first I had to have open exploratory surgery praise God you know they got it out. God is so good that you get to have it late the surgery.

I had mine out about the same age. Today, it's done with micro surgery. Mine was done the old fashion way. A 6 " long incision. 8 weeks of recoup.

It does not get stuck in your joints. It inflates in your abdomen..peritoneum...the pain in the shoulder is referred pain from the diaphragm on the inside. It is absorbed in the tissues and breathed out

Not everywhere has a children's hospital. The closest children's hospital where I live is 8 hours away.

I had appendicitis at age 54. It’s painfully agonizing. Nothing helped the pain. I knew it was bad because I was throwing up at home and I really don’t throw up for anything. Got into the surgery bay about 15 hours after arriving and I had 103.3 temp. Nobody had been checking it since 9:30 the previous night. They immediately gave me Tylenol with a sip of water just before taking me into the OR. I didn’t know why having appendicitis as an adult was so serious. Now I do. Everything went great. Poor kiddo. 😢🙏🏻❤️

My Hospital does not have a pediatric surgeon they will have to go the Fort Myers Gulf Coast hospital

I had appendicitis back in 2018. I swear that pain is no joke. Even the post-surgical pain was nothing compared to the pain associated with the appendicitis. I wouldn't wish that pain on anyone. They had to keep me doped up on Dilaudid. I can honestly say I do not remember a lot of what went on, but I definitely remember the terrible pain I was in.
