I have a TOMY A/FX Corvette Challenge track that I got for Xmas back in the mid 80's. I had a ton of the "Qwik key - Loc key" track and was able to find adaptors for the new to old track styles.

Aurora slot car sets owned many Christmases in the early to mid 1960s. My set and my train set were among my favorite toys. Their models were legendary as well. Aurora is a great memory. Like Testors glue.

Now on E-bay is an AFX magna-traction flame thrower 1977 Monza GT (white/green) in the blister pack. The back says 1979 Aurora Products Division of Louis Marx & Co., Girard, PA

I had Aurora slot cars before they became AFX(even the Batmobile), then when AFX came out we were all psyched because they were faster & handled much better than the earlier models...I remember I had this 917 Gulf Porsche than nobody in my neighborhood could beat...thems were the days.

this was a better country when you could buy a made in U.S.A. Aurora H O slot car set. Bring back the U.S.A. made H O car sets!

No AFX cars are Aurora and Aurora only. AFX cars are Nabisco AFX, and later other owners.

You mentioned the "Tri-Cities." Do you mean Pasco, Kennewick, and Richland?

Interesting company history. I though they went completely out of business sometime in the early 80's. I still have my original Aurora slot car set from the late 1960's with the Thunderjet cars. The later 70's slot cars did not seem to be as good as the previous cars were at least they did not run that well on my track.

To read Japanese, google has a translate app that uses your camera... Just aim it at the Japanese and it will give you an English read-out.
