Beautifully presented. Never give up your culture, no matter where you're from. Your blessed to have served your native country, not everyone has that opportunity. Then to serve as an Evzone! Wow! Beautiful, never lose your Greek heritage.

its weird how most ppl think that the evzones raise the flag in acropoli. when in fact its the communications army school that raises the flag daily and the enzones have this service only in weekends. at least it was like that when i served

I was lucky enough to watch them marching down the Acropoli with the flag during my second visit. I was busy taking picture, suddenly they march down hill and I didn't know what happen back then. Is it ok to take selfie with them with permission? I dare not try :)

Well fustanellas and Kilts are European highland costume. They would be kind of alien to Turks who are from Asia and are used to wearing baggy pantaloons.
