Whoever loves Greece is Greek already. Greeks are hospitable people with compassion for the poor and tortured in life people. It’s tough to live due to the unemployment in the motherland but if you manage to settle and mingle whatever difficulty you may find you are NEVER alone. Always someone from your closed ones will be eager to help you and your family will never leave you helpless. Καταλαβαίνω, τέτοια πράγματα είναι δύσκολα, αλλά πάντα να συνεχίσουμε. Να φτιάξουμε τα ελληνικά μας άψογα και να γίνουμε πραγματικοί Έλληνες. Δεν είναι καλό ότι υπάρχουν άνθρωποι που καταδικάζουν παιδιά που μεγάλωσαν στο εξωτερικό αφού δεν είχαν την επιλογή να μάθουν ελληνικά καλά στα σπίτια τους.

Does not matter, what you are to others (Greek - American, Greek - Chinese or Greek Japanese). Be pride for what you are, to your families! All of sudden while you born in America, "you are Greek - American, Greek Japanese and goes on". While, there is not much difference when it comes to locals to join other nationalities and call their self (Brazilian - American, South African - American, Chinese - African). Sounds like beat quite nasty the fact the word Greek - American. Is a sick + toxic situation = vomit situation, while the society supposed is moved few decades ahead, people mind are literally stuck in Dinosaur era or way back in Ottoman Empire!! Many kisses from Ireland! Πανεμορφες γινεκες κε η 3!! Πολα φιλια απο Ιρλανδια!

My wife is Greek myself Ecuadorian. We go to Corfu every two years my in laws have a house in South Corfu. I learn to love the people and the culture. I also listen to Greek music and I’m currently learning the language. Greek people are amazing very similar to Spanish people. Yassas to everyone

It's nice when you have a large Greek community close like Chicago or Boston but out west the Greek community is scattered. I've only dated non-Greek women but I'm half Greek anyway. I've been to Greece 3 times and I taught in Istanbul/Constantinople. I recognize my Greek half but I call myself an American- no hyphens. The only Greeks I meet in our small Arizona desert town are largely 1/2 or 1/4 Greek. I think I've met only two full blooded Greeks here. Would some Greek woman date a half Greek or do they have to be 100%, nobody is 100% pure.

Κατά την άποψη μου αν μπορείς να ζήσεις στην Ελλάδα χωρίς να ζήσεις στην Ελλάδα κάντο (εννοώ να πάρεις δουλειά διαδικτυακά που πληρώνει καλά) - για υπόβαθρο έμεινα στην Αμερική και μετακόμισα στην Ελλάδα στην εφηβεία μου, και έχω να πω ότι ήταν η καλύτερη απόφαση της ζωής μου

Το να είσαι Έλληνας δεν έχει καμία σημασία που γεννήθηκες η αν απλός μιλάς την γλώσσα. Υπάρχουν Έλληνες στην Ελλάδα αγράμματη χωρίς παιδεία κ ενδιαφέρον για τα ιστορικά, κουλτούρες και θρησκευτικά της Ελλάδας. Το αντίθετο βλέπουμε στην Ελλάδα που παιδιά τώρα στην ηλικία σου το παίζουνε American gangsters παρά Έλληνες. Με την λογική σου θα λέγαμε ούτε αυτά τα παιδιά δεν είναι Έλληνες. Θα έλεγα πως είναι και Έλληνες και Αμερικάνοι. Και εμείς εδώ μεγαλωμένοι στην πατρίδα έχουμε πλέον αμερικανοποιηθεί ως ένα σημείο. Ειδικά άτομα γύρω από την ηλικία μου. Λέμε αγγλικές εκφράσεις κλπ.

No they are still Greeks not Americans. Just because they are a third generation immigrant who great grandparents came to America don't make them American. Idc if they were born Here their still immigrants and their heritage is Greek.
