Leg 4 was an epic battle from Itajaí, Brazil, to Newport, R.I. Over the 17 days of racing, the crew faced multiple weather system transitions as they sailed through the southern hemisphere tradewinds, through the notoriously fickle doldrums, and onwards into the north Atlantic tradewinds - embroiled in a neck and neck battle with competitors Team Malizia the entire time.
Incredible doesn't even begin to describe the homecoming the crew received as Mālama arrived first into Newport, Rhode Island - her home port.

It was cool seeing the boat today in Newport! Will you guys be selling any prints from the drone shots in the southern ocean ? Those were amazing views.

You are not the best imoca sailors nor are you part of the French elite; you don't even have the best boat but you pulled it up. What a plucky bunch you are! Congratulations.
