Here's an apparently seldom used Zippo trick: 1) Hold the Zippo by the base in your right hand. 2 ) Use your left hand to open the cover. 3) While still holding it in your right hand, use your right thumb to flick the wheel, thereby lighting the lighter. 4) Use the flame for your intended purpose. 5) Close the cover with your left hand to extinguish the flame and put the Zippo away. I guarantee you will have little to no hinge issues using this method.

I found your video useful. I was able to them all except the regular Palm. (Two fingers like a gun) which I'm confused I can do the reverse which you say is "harder" I look forward to your next video and I'll keep practicing the basics. Constructive criticism: take a little more time showing the trick and fingering in your slower instructions. And to those that get mad at you because they can't get it, practice! Don't expect to get everything on the first try.

the whole video is just you showing off, you very briefly go over the squeezes and they're the most practice intensive. if you haven't noticed people don't like to rewind every 5 seconds to get a trick down. i advise linking separate videos of individual tricks, you'd get more ad revenue too if that's what you're after.

all squeezes will loosen the hinge over time, although all zippos have a lifetime guarentee you can get a cheap imitation zippo to practice with if you're worried about ruining your good lighter.

  • @DonnyDealer

I used to play with zippo's when I was younger but I havn't had one for a long while. I would say to keep the insert in so as to have the same weight to it. But that's just my preference. I find using the real thing while practicing almost anything is the best way to go. Using a dummy or light version would only throw you off when you go and use the real thing. Again, this is just how I go about learning new skills. Not everybody would agree with me or my reasoning behind it. But that's okay. Hope it helps a little.
