My grandparents were Czech and my father Viennese; such pieces make me feel like I'm nearly to them even if they're long dead.. Thanks Videos of music played by famous American orchestras are full of aging people; Polish, Czech and other European countries are full of young players, and they play wondeerfully, con gusto. It is the culture and always been. Europeans take to classical music and Americans take to rock music. A lot of Asians like classical music too.

They sound so exquisitly fresh.

The classical works of Slavonic composers has always amazed me. Great work, this is one of the best performances of Dvorak's Slavonic dances I have heard yet. You all deserved that standing ovation.

Dvorak was a master of composition and orchestration. The Slavonic Dances are an excellent introduction to his talent. One of the first composers to really grab my attention more than a a few decades ago, and it was from this batch of dances, instantly and irresistibly appealing.

Congratulations ... you guys definitely got it right !

Maestro Bečan's performances are giant love zests! The respect and love that weaves its way among all those on stage is truly Divine and magical. He is an amazing human being to be able to love all those young people into such musical ecstasy! Bravissssimo!

I can see why this "student" performance is on par with all professional orchestras' I have ever heard. They sensed your love for them and they reciprocated it in terms of their hard practice and passionate performance! I did hear the "thickness" in the orchestra before. Now I know it was for a noble cause! You are a good man and an able conductor. Nonetheless, it is always cool to see saxophones in an orchestra!

These young musicians are outstanding!

Discovered this orchestra during lockdown and just can't get enough. This version is far superior to even Simon Rattle's. The flautists deserve most praise along with their mentor Nejc Becan. I'd love to see one of their concerts but I think that's not realistic. Hope they can at least record a DVD/CD. More, more, more!

We agree. This is an amazing experience--the energy and devotion required to produce this enchantment draws me back almost daily. The conductor works perfectly with these young musicians to draw out the very best in them. Which they so freely give. The result is electric.

I am amazed at the consistent excellence of your orchestra, especially knowing it is a youth orchestra. Bravo

My paternal grandpa was from Warsaw but came to America in the late 1800’s. My mother played the Violin. One of my daughters plays the violin and her son (in Medical School) plays the bass.
