Whenever I watch performances by this orchestra, I am always struck but the look of pleasure in the face of the conductor Nejc Bečan. He's proud of what these young musicians are achieving, and so he should be.

Ah!! What talent, what beauty... I must go to that wonderful country called Slovenia.

What a talented orchestra! I am totally taken aback. My memories of Slovenia are from Jan-June 1957, when those kind people accepted us, Hungarians and took care of us after we had escaped Hungary, which was shattered by the Soviet Union. Our gratitude is endless and I celebrate Slovenians at any opportunity where I can.

Great! A pure enjoyment! Music is universal. I cannot get to a concert in any other way these days. Discovered this only few days ago. Slovenia has a lot of talent and so have all Slavic/Slavonic people. We can all forget the virus for a while.

I love this orchestra.

Listening to the Gimnazija Kranj talents. Can't get enough of them.

Despite having no known Slavic ancestry, I consider myself musically a Slav.

I have always loved Borodin’s music. When I was a kid a neighbor had a Russian wolfhound named Prince Igor! And, of course, “Kismet” music!

This familiar masterpiece is comfortable to the ears and the mind

Their voices are beautiful. More so as their voices mature. Its a real treat when you hear the older mature contralto female voices. And the males with their almost basso profundo voices.

You may be interested to know that the theme song, which opened this performance, was used for the song, “Stranger in Paradise” in the American musical, “Kismet”. I have the record (Stranger in paradise) in vinyl for my big stereo which I have not unpacked in years. This is much better, no problem in setting it up. Just turn on the Internet.

I recognized "Stranger in Paradise" melody after the first bar. I recall 1st hearing it in the early 50's sang by Gisele MacKenzie on "Your Hit Parade" a weekly variety TV show. Hearing it instantly carried me to that TV moment and Gisele MacKenzie. I must have been all of 12 or 13.

There is still good music out there but you have to look. It isn't as prolific as it once was. Also you have to consider the subject; my mom would not allow be to listen to the blues back then in the 40's and 50's.

Excellent performance

This has been one of my favorite pieces for six decades. I was so happy to hear it again from my favorite orchestra. It was a wonderful performance Bravo! Incidentally the Gimnazija Kranj orchestra played this piece during their 2007 Christmas Concert.

Excelente interpretación para tan excelente creación musical que nos introduce mágicamente en el instante en que se funden dos culturas de Accidente y Oriental y tienen la suerte de crear un estilo musical nuevo de los pueblos del Caúcaso y el sur del Gran Rus.
