If they've been on the street any length of time they may have had animal control after them and they are not very nice when they are catching animals. Of course the shelter is an almost certain death sentence. I don't blame any of the animals for being freaked out. Many of them have come from abusive homes and while on the street children are often cruel.

@@bigdream_dreambig Animals in need seem to recognize the cocoon of safety we can sometimes provide. Cats and dogs go into heat within days of being rescued, dogs like Jax sleep deeply for the first time. Dogs often will relax when a leash is on them. They calm down in a crate faster than when loose in the back of your car.

To see such a terrified little dog transform into a happy dog is just beautiful. That smile on his face with his new Mum and the way he kept looking up at her really warms my heart.

I don’t know if angels exist or not, but I like to imagine rescue dogs tell each other about the day an angel came and lifted them off the streets

I love how he hops. There’s something about his demeanor that says, this is who I am and I’m proud of my tripodness!

These ladies aren't as mellow as the guy who was in most of the prior videos. They are making me anxious! But they did it.

Hi Kevin. The amputation changed A LOT! He was uncomfortable and miserable because of it... it was a dead limb that made him uncomfortable. He is much happier without it.

These 2 were chaotic as hell during the rescue. They should learn from you and Loreta to be calm and collected. The screaming praises were no better, tough to watch. Glad the dog is doing well and saved none the less.

It's not hard to see how sweet he is even through all that fear ❤️

Gosh they need to listen to Eldad and be calmer / quieter ... glad they got him but wow ladies not so noisy, no wonder the poor little chap was panicking under the car.

The guy doesn’t do it as fast, he gives them time to decompress. She is impatient.

Winderful to see the little guy chilling on his bed at the end, and the start of a good, happy life. Thanks to HFP.

That was the first time I saw that style of catching a dog. Not what I’m used to with the original Hope for paws.

Very happy sweet Jax is now in his forever home with a loving family. He is so cute. JoAnn and Katie did great.

I love seeing the expression in rescued dogs' eyes go from fear, sadness, and despair to sparkling with joy and love.

All great staff, but Eldad drives me nuts in many videos with a condescending tone, like he knows best. But again....great group of people!!

Time after time I watch JoAnn anxiously interacting with a scared dog. Her nervous energy can lead to aggression. That's not the way. It traumatizes dogs and makes the transition from the street more distressing than necessary. She's been doing rescue work for some time, and it's frustrating to see this behavior continue. I do rescue. When approaching an animal, it's really important to be grounded and calm. Sense the individual's energy. When you're present, animals feel safer and rescues go much more smoothly.

I love these people! Please donate for the holidays.

I like it when all these dogs are bad ass on the street, but as soon as they're on the vet's table, they turn into melted cheese.

I don't know who was more frantic, the dog or the young woman. The dog is still nippy at the end of the video.

There was an abused little poodle running around In my neighborhood. Me and my sister decided to try and recuse him and we used all your tricks! It worked!!! I was so happy, we gave him to our local animal shelter. Hopefully he found a better home. Thank you for inspiring people, you guys are amazing 💗

What a Gorgeous little tripod.. Jax enjoyed the bubble bath, blankets and treats to the max. This transformation from a limping scared cutie to a playful, lively happy guy in a caring loving forever home, restores my faith in humanity.. Thank you SO much...

I love Eldad's calmness. These girls must have been new at this. I don't think they realized how very loud they were.

Thank you for helping him . It's sad to see so many unwanted pets in the US while here in Canada , there's a huge demand for small dogs. Prices have soared during the pandemic . Maybe if you found some rescue partners here, you could get pets adopted here and make more space in your shelters .

So sorry to hear this, Mary Jane. So many of us watching these videos have suffered the loss of beloved pets. My brother and I not long ago spoke of our dear dog, Champ that disappeared from our home and was never seen again. My husband and I think of our cat, Blackie that we loved and also went missing. I won't even mention those darlings that have passed on! You're not alone in your sadness. 😿 🙏💕

5 x the change Not every stray Hope for Paws rescues was abandoned. Some might have had owners, but with no microchip, it is impossible to find the owner.

What a sweetheart, Glad you were able to succeed. As one of them said loud noises freak him out and the newer rescuer was too loud and aggressive sounding and acting. Hopefully she'll learn from this and adjust her approach to the rescues. Sorry she had to pay for it with a bite.

We should all care and love our innocent animals .

I had some friends here in England who had a dog with only one back leg. The called him "Morgan" after a rather eccentric English car company who for much of the 100+ years made cars with two wheels at the front but only one wheel at the back.
