@@waterandafter Eldad said he couldn't get a cheeseburger, in that area, for the pup but he did have treats. The dog was partially blind and couldn't see the food being offered. Typically they get cheeseburgers for the rescues and in almost all the videos that's what they have. The animals they rescue can't seem to get enough of them. They are they equivalent to cat nip for cats.

So Daisy has passed away.... Rest in Paradise Daisy ❤ She was dumped in Florida Everglades. I am so happy she was finally saved and had a good and happy life for the past 8 years of her life. Million thanks Eldad for you have saved so many lives! ❤❤❤

The look on Dolittle’s face when he was getting his head rubbed said it all. He was just a scared little pup who couldn’t see. I’m so glad Eldad was patient and got him to trust him. Thank goodness his eyes were fixed. He seemed so much more confident!

I don't know how people left their loved pets liked this. Love the poodle and love the name.

@@i_love_rescue_animals After 10-plus years of experience, and with Los Angeles city shelters being kill shelters... Eldad has seen this happen all to often. But keep in mind that some owners imagine it's "more humane" to abandon a sick dog on the streets where they hope someone will take him in, rather than surrender him to the city shelter where a death sentence is all but certain.

Rachana Pawar - Abandoned because of his behavior-- blind and snapping, especially if there were kids in the home. Owner unwilling (or didn't know how) to do behavior work, and unable to afford vet care. Ignorant about the no-kill movement and where to go for help. So dumping the dog looked like the easy answer.

Vetenary care here in the UK is ridiculously expensive, I hate that animals have to suffer because vets charge so much.

When they're young and cute, people keep them as a live toy.....after they're getting old and sick they thrown away. Some human are so evil

I dont understand these people... I "rescued" my Max when he was 3 months old because he was cute and a toy. 15 years later he still is my best friend and I could not imagine giving him away, I never did. I wonder what has to be wrong with you to toss a dog you had for a while away like garbage.. and the worse thing is: people like this have children.

Carson Lee I don’t think that is the only reason dogs are left homeless!! There are other circumstances, like if a dog was born on the streets or if it ran away and never found its home again... like I agree that humans shouldn’t treat animals the way SOME of us humans do, but it’s not all of us. It’s not always our fault! Just think of the different ways.

Really very cool that this dog was looked after and treated to well by the Hope For Paws family. I was delighted to see that he had eye surgery and is now happy, healthy and can see all the wonderful people who love and care! Thanks for sharing this jourey👍💗

The way a person treats an animal shows his/her true nature. This is why I tend to gravitate towards animal lovers especially dog lovers.

I’m so happy Dolittle’s eyes were able to be fixed so he can live his life to the fullest.

Now this made me cry, he was so scared, then the way he closed his eyes when Eldad was stroking him on his head, you could see the relief in his face. The dear little man. Breaks my heart these videos, but I know the doggos end up happy, loved and safe in the new forever homes. Just makes me cuddle and smooch my boy even more.

I rescued a deaf and blind little guy just like this one he is now a cuddle bunny k owns his way around the house and can find me if I leave the room he finds me I have 2 other dogs and they take ❤ him he walks into and over him. To bad humans can't be that accepting.

I'm glad Dolittle is safe now!❤️❤️❤️ My heart melted again seeing him happy and healthy!❤️❤️❤️

Thank you for doing what you guys do.... my heart (and donation) goes to all the animals that needed our help!! Did you find out why he was blind as first? And wow! How can they be cured and see again! Wonderful!

I'm guessing cataracts. We had a white poodle develop diabetes, then cataracts at about 6 years old. Had the 2 surgeries, one one each eye, to remove them. He lived a full life with us. We had named him Kramer after wacky Kramer on Seinfeld.

Even I couldn't tell he was blind! At first his eyes looks just fine.. glad he was rescued before anything bad happened 💕 thank you hope for paws!

You can tell by the behavior, but when you are rescuing the dog you typically don't look for signs like this. The main goal is obviously to secure the dog as quick and stress-free as possible.

I could tell that he was blind within seconds of the video starting. He has a very bad glare to his eyes, and an injured dog that could still see most likely would have gotten more aggressive much faster. One big example of this is the rescue of the pit bull who had her leg broken in 3 places but still got up and actually lunged at Eldad when he approached. But, I understand how the different factors (the sun, the highway close by) had influenced Eldad's judgement.

I'm here in Georgia, I'd like to give him a forever home with me, TODAY!

It's because the dog was blind

He’s actually not a poodle, but a pretty decent example of a Bichon Frise. I used to show them. For one to offer to bite shows how very upset and stressed he was. Thanks for rescuing him!

Doolittle is such a sweetheart. He was scared because of his impaired vision. I hope his sight can be restored. He is such a good boy and will be a wonderful addition to a family. I wish I lived in CA !!

He’s so cute. And the way he hopped with happiness while running makes a persons eyes water! Such a sweet boy.

I am crying right now because this dog looks exactly like mine. They are both poodles, have the same eyes (though my dog's not blind), same nose and the same fur (yes it's messy cuz we can't really afford a makeover for him), and even when he tried to get unde the car, and sitting at the driver's seat! He resembles my dog so much, but what difference they had in life! While my dog is enjoying his specially cooked meals, playing with his family and dozing off on my lap, thousand miles away there was a dog who looked exactly like him, homeless, alone, and blind.
