This is a rare instance where cops and social workers hear someone making threats and try to do something about it instead of ignoring it until the person is killed. The cops tried, the doctor tried, and I’m sure her daughters tried. It’s so sad she didn’t take his threats seriously.

@@paulchristopher8634 well I mean plenty of narcissists never go on to kill their partner. Simply being narcissistic doesn't make someone more likely to be a killer but anger issues and previous abusive behavior do make it more likely that that person will hurt or kill someone. The abusive behavior is the predicate for the murder. Without it he wouldn't have brought knives in the first place.

There is nothing to justify this murder, but I believe that lawyer who advised to wife to live in this man's house to be intitled for half of it after divorce, is as much responsible for this woman's death. If you want to keep your belongings after divorce, file a marriage agreement. These two weren't compatible partners at the start, one being outgoing and another house person, it is never going to work out. One will suffer and it will lead to depression, which will escalate both to suffer. This scenario was predictable... Where was the loving friends and family to advise to move out instead to incourage her to get this man down by taking his house? He warned agencies about his state of mind, it wasn't taken seriously, why? Instead he was drugged with more substances... Seriously? They thought it will solve the problem by putting depressed person under more effective influencer? When everybody involved will start to take responsibility for their actions that's when we will start to live in peace. Not greed for money, but understanding and accepting differences in others will grow love to each other. I believe this man didn't feel loved and appreciated, that's why he didn't care to loose everything he had at the end.

They weren’t forced to. They were advised by their lawyers and they chose to follow their advice. I’m American. I recall when I left my ex husband after a violent fight I just left and barely had a few outfits with me. I truly feared for my life and knew he would kill me if I stayed. It was so hard to get any of my possessions back. I had no rights. It was crazy. I was really bitter about having to start over after my divorce, not even having a kitchen towel to my name. But time has allowed me to see that it was the best decision to just run away when I still had the chance. But it was hard. Pride and principle tends to take priority for some. Fortunately for me I was so fearful of my ex that I knew better than to stay around just to prove out the “possession is 9/10ths of the law” saying.

For a long time they continued under the same roof each torturing the other and doing completely *insane* things, just hearing the stories gave me secondhand embarrassment. It's awful that the courts work this way, knowing the awful outcomes this advice could possibly cause. After quite awhile and all these awful stories everyone was telling her just walk away. Is it worth being this miserable, risking someone eventually snapping from all the stress and torment??? That's how I feel here. My husband was in hospital for months after a cardiac event and needed a valve replacement. I visited him twice per day, ever day until the operation, bringing him things he wanted or needed. I visited him every day he was in the psych ward for alcohol induced meltdowns. I paid for everything in our relationship/marriage.. equipment for his studio, laptops, holidays, etc.. Still wasn't good enough, and last year he threatened to cut my head off during another tantrum. That was the final straw. Fortunately I had received a nice inheritance from my parents months before, so I left without telling him. I packed a bag, took my dog, and went to stay on an island for four months. Now waiting for the papers to get my dog back to my home country. They won't change. Can't change. They're narcissistic bullies. Best way to deal with them is to leave and go no contact, and do not contact any of their family or friends. You will never get closure from a Cluster B personality type. You give yourself closure by leaving them and not contacting them. If you must contact, do it via a lawyer. You must leave them. Make sure it is you that has the power. They are real-life demons👹👹👹

In the end, she's deceased, and he's in prison for the rest of his life, so neither of them ended up with the house. If someone threatened to kill me that many times to that many people, I would have taken the officer's offer to go to a safe house. I know a man who is doing that right now. The wife doesn’t work full time so he has always paid all the bills. She leaves all the lights and all the electric and gas appliances on, and all the water taps running, 24/7, to get the bills as high as possible, because she knows they are all in his name.

In a contentious dovorce. Why tf would u stay living together?!? Greed or control are the only reasons I can think of if one has somewhere else to go. She had 2 grown kids she was close with... why not stay there? Especially after this man was telling people he was going to harm her. He literally asked for help 🤦🏻‍♀️

"Diminished capacity" or not, this murder was completely premeditated. Not only did he make comments about stabbing her, he took the 2 knives upstairs with him when he went to "talk" to her. She must have been so terrified, it's so awful. He should NEVER be let out of prison.

Pre-nuptual agreements are not binding in the UK. What a shame she stayed after the marriage had irrevocably broken down and divorce proceedings had begun - that was a tall order. I feel she would still have been entitled to a settlement even if she'd moved out.

Yes, I understand spouses oftentimes murder one another, but when people reach their 70s and that is the first thought that comes to their mind?!? I mean how much longer do they think they have to live, and wouldn't they want to live their life as a free person, trying to enjoy life?!? Mind boggling! Anyhow, late to the video, but hope you two are doing well. Thanks for the upload & hope you have a Happy Easter, if you in fact celebrate it!
