That cat setting in that tire needs to be on the cover of a trapping magazine. That was cool. Thanks for this series I enjoyed it very much. I know filming is extra work and it is appreciated from us guys that know longer can do any trapping.

Great catches Stu! Amazing how in depth you really get with things…i run a small line to work in the mornings, usually about a 20 mile drive in the morning…im trapping about a 6 mile x 6 mile square, hoping for 50 coyote this season! Trapping is a waiting game and im glad you stress that, be on location and they will come through! Tight chains!!

Unless he said he bought them, he probably made them. I make my own, and it's really easy. Just take a one inch pipe and cut it into pieces 3 to 4 in long. Cut one end at an angle, weld two nuts one in middle and one at end thats straight. Crimp two pieces of cable on each nut however long for your area. Now for the driver, I used a piece of 3/4 all thread and welded a piece of the pipe a few inches up. Sharpened the end of driver and last but not least welded an old small hitch pin on other end to make a T handle. The small end of hitch pin is used to retrieve the stake with the cable loop. Look up duckbill earth anchor. They are pretty much the same thing. Hope this helps and good luck.

I ran a short line this sesson, 6 coyote sets in a mile line along a waterway. Caught 5 coyotes in 3 weeks. That said short lines will produce but in my area it is about 5 days in between catches. Many of the things you mentioned are proven in my area of central ohio.

Great catches. Enjoyed watching I trap here in West Virginia 2 different properties it’s 5 miles between the properties on the hardtop road but as the crow flies it is probably only a couple of miles. So I get what you are saying I am probably trapping the same coyotes on both properties.

Good video, thank you. Something I've ever wondered from your videos being that I don't trap but I like to watch is when you are cleaning an animal. What do you do with the guts and the skeleton and everything? Where does that go? Is that left in the woods or in the garbage or something?
