I handcraft pieces from a rock in the ground. I don't use macines (goung on two years of that); but, I'm realizing that it is NOT realistic to avoid machines altogether forever I dont goldsmith or silversmith yet. I craft cabochons from rough crystals with salt, water, vinegar, chisel, sandpaper from 80 grit to 7500 grit. sandpaper. I wire wrap some of them. I can identify with your reel.....and........gorgeous ring!!!!!!!

I love that gold molten look… you know it’s because of you now that I’m getting into lost wax casting… I need to find out what special tools I need to buy. Now I am a professional and instructor metalsmith, so I have just about every tool you need for that. But I’ve noticed on Rio Grande that Tools for wax casting and I’m gonna need that. Nice video. Thank you. I cut Australian black opals (by hand) and also buy precut opals. I also have other gemstones (Colombian emerald, garnet, topaz, etcetera). I would love to design and make my ring mounts and pendant mounts in 14k-18k yellow gold, which I plan on accomplishing soon.
