Edit: Okay I'm like 6-7 minutes in and seeing the Tiffany's Shell Necklace and all I've got left to bargain with is my soul and totally sold to have both necklaces and also the Mikomoto Pearl and Opal Mermaid Collar and Yeah I'd probably sell my soul to own them all Edit 2: Sees Van Arpels Grand Tour collar and faints

And what about opal in the tiffany ring? The color is so deep… Initially, I wanted to make topic about historical jewelry with opals. But, I do not know why, I can’t find a lot of such pieces. Therefore, I made a video regarding modern opal jewelry.

@@JewelleryPleasure Opals didn't get a lot of love, I suppose. They weren't as 'flashy' as Sapphires,Gold,Rubies, My beloved Emeralds ♥️. But I loved it all. The Mermaid Collar (that's just what I've been calling it) and the your Arpels Grand Finale, if I put those on I think my heart would just stop and I'd want my tombstone to say "Beauty Killed The King" like from the old old movie King Kong from.the 30s (not all the newer remakes) . You know, that iconic scene when King Kong drops the girl because he sees a gorgeous pearl,emerald,ruby,sapphire,and opal centerpiece collar from the Van Cleef & Arpels show window and put the collar on himself and dropped from the Empire State Building. 😉

I believe that in the Victorian era and earlier, some cultures considered opals to bring bad luck. My grandfather had Tiffanys design a fire opal ring for grandmother's engagement ring (the colours echoed her firey red hair) and it caused quite the familial scandal.

I love opals. I had a beauty but it was stolen during a move. It was a ring surrounded by diamonds. No insurance. Now that I’m 84, I would have no place to wear.😂😊

He's the nicest person on KZread. Like, not just nice to Patrons but anybody and everybody that appreciates the beauty of jewelry,that it's another artwork and not just accessories. I bet he would totally do videos for men's jewelry as well. He probably just didn't realize guys cared. I know I didn't. But I'm stuck in Oklahoma and the only jewelry I've seen on men are on Native Americans. Lots of beautiful turquoise.

A beautiful tiara was made with opal and diamonds but Mrs post removed the unlucky opals and put turquoise in it's place and it's still pretty but I would have loved to see the tiara with the opals instead,🤔 maybe real soon I would make the tiara over with the opals and place it besides the one at the Smithsonian. This way I can keep my skeleton of a giant out of there hands and not destroy it as they're orders are to do so. Wink wink

That black opal needs nothing bit a plain gold setting. All those coloured stones just overpower it and it looks tawdry.

The "o" in opal is pronounced the same as it is in "oval." Pronouncing it as "oppal" is both incorrect and really irritating.

I think it’s AI. The voice pronounced the abbreviation for Company as “Koe”. A real person knows what Co. means.
