Hello, my name is Adriana Avila and I am the owner and creator of Mitera Made Jewelry! I started learning silversmithing in 2021, and since then started working with more precious metals, taught myself to set stones, wax carving and many other jewelry making techniques. I make small batches of bespoke jewelry that are released monthly on my website. 💕

can you tell me where you got that awesome workbench that is sitting behind you? It's seems much nicer than ones I've seen so far.
So look forward to your posts. It’s like visiting a florist and smelling the flowers. The camera loves you Adriana.
Ive always been so curious about this process when i see people make jewelry starting with wax! Finally you showed me the whole process
Lucky Raquel! And yay, molds! 🌺 🌺 🌺
happy birthday Gemini angel! i'm 29 too and definitely needed to hear all this!
Happy birthday your experiences in life has made you wise beyond your years 🎉 wishing you plenty of success in the future
Hey! Love your space so much, I had a quick question. I got my jewelers desk delivered today and am surprised by how tall it is, I see you have a shorter chair (my current chair is the height of yours) could you give me a little bit of an insight on why it is so tall? And do you ever raise your chair higher than you had it in this video? Thank you in advance!
Thank you!! And yesss jewelers benches are tall which is nice so you don’t have to hunch over and can work more at eye level 💜 I usually keep my chair pretty low but I’ll adjust it depending on what I’m working on. 💜
@@MiteraMade Thank you so much for the insight! ☺
Free hand sculpting is something else as a occasional perfectionist i have a love hate relationship but everyone is a guaranteed 1 of 1
I just got monetized literally about 3 days ago and i am excited. Started in Oct last year, guys dont give up
I'm New to youtube and want to grow as well. Because of your video I just subbed to you! Thanks :)
Thank you so much for this! I make jewelry also and am trying to grow my business youtube channel in order to get monetized and I am so appreciative of you sharing this realistic view. It's helped me manage my expectations. Again THANK YOU!!
Aw a fellow jeweler on here! I love it! 🥹💜 I’m happy to have helped in any way! 🥹💜
Hello! Love your jewellery!! Do you ship to the UK? I live in London!
Thank you so much!! I do ship to the UK! 🙏🏻☺️💜
@@MiteraMade wonderful!! ♥️ thank you ☺️
Thank you! I never really knew the logic behind when to use hard vs. easy solder. Great explanation!

Hi, could you tell me what company did you use to send your wax for casting ?

Love your presence and knowledge. Keep going! 🧡
Thank you, that’s really kind! 🥹🙏🏻
you have really good music selection, how do you find your music?
Thank you so much! I use Epidemic Sound ☺️💜
After 26 years as an anesthesiologist, and surviving the PTSD from the pandemic I now struggle to achieve a quiet mind. I found that the laser focus of trying to learn metalsmithing is the best thing I've ever done for myself. Your videos have been so encouraging. You're an old soul in a young body. Thank you for being open about your flaws and imperfections. ❤
Do you have any connections in Europe? Looking for beautiful piece for my girlfriend
So inspiring! Thank you for sharing
DUDE!!! HALF???? Thank you for that info on the tips. Needless to say, I may find another way to "tip" my fave KZreadrs. I'm also thinking of canceling my KZread subscription and watching the ads...to better support my fave KZreadrs. Again, thank you!
That’s very thoughtful of you!! I will say I was completely wrong about half. I don’t know where I read that but I’m happy that I was wrong lol they take 30%…still a lot but better than 50 😂 Also they do pay the creator a portion of the subscription you pay for so they don’t lose out completely 💜
I started youtube a month ago. 42 subs and 2.5k views so far. Long way to go, but I'm positive :D
That’s still great progress!!! 🎉💜
@MiteraMade Thank you! That's kind to say. Enjoy your success and may it continue
Thanks for posting, this keeps me inspired to make more content.
I’m so glad! 🥹💜
At the moment i just do designing and post them on youtube but nobody sees it... im from london... how about you?
I just discovered your channel and im so excited. I also do designing and would love to start my own designing jewellery.
Hi,
Work smart and don't work hard that is the simple truth of life if not you will keep struggling, thank God I make £43,500 every 2 weeks with the help of Sandrina Edmondson. God bless. Nice video.
Most people think it's all about salary, I Have never seen anyone who is very wealthy that earns salary, I agree with you dear everyone should work smart not hard 🎉

Hello Mitera! I am in Japan and helping my 22 yr old daughter to set up her own home shop.Once you are ok with it, I would like to correspond with you directly and I will show you how AMAZINGLY skilled she is. However, she is not skilled in the lost casting process. We will need to purchase most all of the equipment that you used in this video 🙄. Another note: on your large scale. "Normally" if you set you measuring tray on the scale before you power it on, then it will be "zero'd" & do not have to calculate your metal from your tray weight. Power: You can look at the power label on each piece of equipment (normally where the power cord connects to the equipment) and see what the watts or amps are. Then you can look in your breaker box and see what amp breaker that wall plug is using. Most likely a 10 amp (possibly a 15 amp). This will give you a good idea of what equipment you can run at the same time on that circuit (breaker). AGREE, Getting a large circuit installed is pricey. Electricians are expensive. Tall table: Trim/cut the table legs a few inches?😁 I think that's it...for now! Good luck & hope to hear from you soon!
Congrats!!
Thank you ☺️
I created a channel,, idk what to do but I’m on my way hope one day I’ll make something good Please supporting guys
Very detailed and informative Good job
Thank you🙏🏻
Thank you so much for this detailed video.. It's very inspiring. I was focused on getting monetized and I got discouraged and took 2023 off but I really missed making videos.. I love making videos and editing so now my focus is making better content and having fun... Good luck to everyone and have fun.. I subscribed to some of you here and I look forward to your videos.. 💙
Thank you!! 🥹💜 and yess, getting monetized is the cherry on top of enjoying the process. I don’t know if it’s sustainable if you don’t at least have fun! You can do this!! 🎉🎉🎉💜💜💜
Thank you for sharing! We've been collecting gardening and homesteading videos for a few years, but haven't gotten around to publishing them. I'll make a point of focusing on getting my channel going over the summer.
Yesss just start posting! 🎉🎉
Awesome video and very valuable. Your CPM is awesome. 🎊🎉
Thank you 🙏🏻☺️
This is so encouraging!! I’m just shy of 400 subs until I’m monetized! Didn’t start becoming consistent until this year and the growth has been insane! The drive ebs and flows, but hearing about your experience is so helpful 💕
I’m glad I could help! 🥹 you’re so close, you can do this! 🎉💜☺️
I've been a full time jeweler for 25 yrs and i think you have a lot of talent.
Thank you 🙏🏻🥹
Adriana, this is fresh and fun! Love to see wisdom in younger women. My beloved step-dad told me 30 years ago when I was a teenager (I think...), "No one cares, no one is thinking about you, they are busy with THEIR lives." So true. My philosophy, especially after two bouts of cancer when young; GET BUSY LIVING! Great video! 🌺 Ps. I have two degrees, had a 4.0 GPA - what a colossal waste of my brains and time! Ugh! Not one airline asked to see my aviation sciences degree to fly their planes, not ONE!
That’s great advice Gabby! 🥹Although it’s not a great way to learn a lesson like that, those difficult times in life give you tons of perspective for the rest of it. 💜💜 I’m glad you’re still here 🥲💜
@@MiteraMade Ooooh, that warms my heart. Back at you!
100% to all of it!!! Another life lesson…if you feel sluggish, get your thyroid checked.
Ooohh that’s a good one! 🙈
Great video! I just started pouring silver. I pour bars and other things. I'm learning about polishing. Let's say I use 3 different polishes using a Dremel. Should I wipe off the silver piece after using each polish? Is that important?
You video was incredibly helpful. I've started my KZread journey about 8 years ago, but I was very inconsistent. However, a few months ago I started to regularly publish my content and trying to get those 4k watch hours. I've already noticed that once I started being consistent, I'm getting more and more exposure. But I'm happy I've found your video, it just gave me additional boost. Thank you!
Great video and happy belated birthday! Recently turned 36 myself and I agree with everything you said!
Thank you!! And happy belated birthday to you too! 🙏🏻☺️
Beginner? Open flame? Beginner to me means soldering iron and flux. jmo.
All very sound advice! For any hobby or professional! Keep your hard up and plow on !!!
Thank you 🙏🏻☺️
I am so glad I watched this video. I have been watching other crafters on KZread saying the exact same thing. I hesitated setting up an Etsy shop and now I know for sure I won't be starting up there. I think it is deplorable what Etsy has turned into and has turned against the very people (artisans like you) that made them successful in the first place. Such a kick in the teeth, makes me angry. BUT, I will still "shop" on Etsy. That is, I want to support other crafters and artisans, but I will boycott Etsy itself. What you do is contact the seller and ask if they sell on any other platforms and then just go there instead. If they don't, I would explain to them why I don't buy on Etsy anymore. Maybe they can get a gentle push from their buyers to move in a different direction. I have seen sellers link in Etsy to their own websites or other platforms. Now I know why.
