When cable tying wires like this it is much easier to put the first tie at the very top. This way the cable is supported and you can then add the ties below without having to hold the heavy cable to the fixture.

Watching this really made me excited to apply to my local IBEW im hoping I can get into the apprenticeship. I really love electrical work I’ve always been so fascinated seeing the work be done.

electrician from texas. You did clean work. Only criticism is land your wires first....then zip strip them. Once your journeyman verifies you landed everything correctly, clean it up with the zip strips. Keep up the great work young man.

Is your apprenticeship all on the job? The one near me makes you go to class for 2 hours a day 2 days a week and has you do on the job training too. They don’t have IEC in my state, i’m in Louisiana.
@TheApprenticeToJourneyman

Yes sir my apprenticeship is all on the job training, Honestly I wish I had the option to go to class a few hours a week. But for right now I just try to stay in the code book & ask questions when I don’t understand something.. I would call some local shops in your area and see what they say. Me personally I don’t think the school option is a bad choice just depends on what you’re looking for. Hope that helps & let me know how everything goes!👍🏽
