I am a Florida State licensed Master Electrician. (EC). I've been in the trade for almost 30 years. It is absolutely the best trade of them all. If you invest in yourself and the trade, you can earn a good living and even better. I see so many people giving incorrect electrical information it is scary. The industry needs good, dependable, and trustworthy tradesman. This work isn't easy and it takes someone who isn't afraid of the heat or getting dirty.

It was our pleasure. Brandon is great.
The requirements to either own a company or simply wanting to get into the trade are state specific. It will be different for each state if you go union or non-union.

how’s the cost of living in FL? The union pays in general $25 for a journeyman. Is that a good pay?

In some parts of Florida, this might be considered average or even slightly below average, but of course this varies by region. For a more urban and expensive area like Miami, $25 might be on the lower end.

$20-30 an hour? Working for yourself? I believe the electricians where I live are charging at least $120 an hour. That doesn't include material either. McDonald's out here will pay you $20 an hour. You gotta be in the midwest?

Also, props to you for taking to comment to all the questions below. I don't know why people don't just google some of the questions, but the fact that you answered them anyways is impressive. Hope to see your channel grow. Cheers.

Thanks, Michael. He's not saying you can't make more. He was saying what you can expect to make when you're starting out. (He makes a lot more himself.) And, thanks for the feedback. I think people like to ask questions here because they get engaged in the video and want to ask while they're thinking about it.
