Cause when we see the modern , Western society ,life had corrupted .. today I am living in USA, cause of begging of my life was under Lord Buddha's massage... Buddhism never train you to used the gun or Bomb makers or any weapons sellers.... Buddhist Monks are following the philasophy of life... Cause "mind comes first for anything".... It's sooo easy train for bad,person .. cause don't have to work hard. Every religion teaches us good whether it be Buddhism, Hinduism, Christan or Islam.. you can try meditation. im a srilankan buddhist and whenever i go to temple so peaceful after praying more peaceful. its just like every worry is over. i mean the worrys you have will go away. yesterday i went to temple and i still have the effect. i have social anxiety too but it helped a little. I want to go to temple everyday but i cant. its kinda far away too :(((

Children can learn discipline, peacefulness and other positive characteristics while still being allowed a childhood in which they feel loved and are encouraged to play, laugh and express themselves. It’s true that many modern children are too interested in technology and owning toys but they can be given less of those things without going to this extreme. In this video, the young boys did not smile and they were never hugged or spoken to affectionately by adults.

It shows how little you know about Buddhism. They all have been provided with love and care by the chief monk as seen in the video. Monks do not show their expressions much as they try to keep their emotions under control. So according to Buddhism there is no hugging. That comes under affection, greed, attachment, trying to keep under your control. As Buddhist monks or lay people we are trying to avoid all said so we can stop getting reborn to this world. Finding a way to end Dukkha. Unless you are a practicing Buddhist you will not be able to understand the depth of Buddhism.

all these monks hear had a nice childhood and there parents are not the ones who sent them. Those monks willingly wanted to be a monk. In here they smile when they talk to each other. I dont see a reason they HAVE to smile here. And im a srilankan buddhist

in buddhism buddha let the monks sweep and also let them play for their exercises. but small monks want to stay peaceful its their decision. but still everyone sweeps bc it is a good exercise. some monks want to achieve enlightment so they dont want to play bc they think its a waste. but as a buddhist in srilanka some small monks will stop being a monk later. They get a lot of freedom. they can talk with others and play for a certain time everyday

For anyone who says they look sad: yes, they should be serious about being a monk and the idea of controlling their desires. But as a Sri Lankan myself, I can confirm you that many young monks do not have a 100% serious childhood like shown. They're normal children inside. Except that they should be extra careful of their behaviour, they run, smile, talk, play and engage in most other normal childhood activities like any other kid will. And they're also loved by devotees and communities. Said that, I am sad that there might be some young monks who are there because their parents can't afford to raise them. Then again, this might be one of the best environments for such a child to grow up in.

Because the children you see are loud and wild that doesn't mean it's the right way. Just like these monks, nobility and Royal kids are raised with structure and discipline. These traits you attribute to children aren't sign of health but a testament of your position in society as a peasant (not as an insult).

I also lived a same way of life. And I was a teacher too. And also Piriven instructor. But I feel sorry about These children. Most of the Piriven are not caring enough about these children. But lukily they get enough food from devoties. Many teachers are not open minded. So they dont let children to have their own playfull life. It is a pity. These children are mostly from poor failies same as me. I would say sri lanka is still not a good country who get real responsible of their children. If these teachers are realy warmhearted people, I am realy thankfull for them using their time for taking care of these children.

This is an ideal life.. if one leads a life this way ..he won't face any insecurities or fear of death. Right living.. Buddham Saranam gachchami

Tibetan Buddhism is one of many schools of Buddhism. It is unwise to try to use Buddhism as a vehicle to teach Nationalistic fervour or further Nationalistic causes.

Its too early to wake up, also kids should be having milk and no tea. At least they should give something to eat like a biscuit or somethings that goes with tea.

Mayur Ramani milk? For what? It’s meant for cows. Almond milk? What benefit does that have in the morning other than spike your insulin levels? Tea is good as it has no sugars you DO NOT want to spike your insulin in the morning. Tea before breakfast and other duties in the morning is great. It holds you up and then after a while you can eat break fast . Your glucose will thank you when you dont end up with diabetes. Lol. I’m not Buddhist i just like eating healthy.
