Yeah. Because they are probably willing to do thag freely. I highly doubt that this isnt just the will of their parents and masters. I dont think in that age anyone shoukd have such a hard schedule

As a child, it was my dream to be part of Shaolin. I am still so fascinated by their secrets. Not everything they know can be shown. Fascinating! Thank you for the video.

That moment when he says his lil brother told him he misses him almost made me cry.

Wish there were more opportunities like this for young children. Would possibly be great for orphans and definitely better than foster care. I see this as an honor for these children.

@@Teknobie Why do boys in boarding schools call or write to their family? It’s apparent that there’s rule in implementation and you won’t see them 24/7 in the school. Maybe the highly disciplined atmosphere in Shaolin sounds like a nightmare to you who may be cultivated in the west, but we don’t think like that at all. I’d admit I dreamed about growing up in Shaolin and becoming a master of martial art and parents couldn’t agree with me especially they thought I was girl.

Lol, could you imagine American kids being this disciplined? No, I can't either. 😆

Absolutely incredible. My knowledge is limited but I may understand that Kung Fu is approximately 7000 years old. This presentation has my upmost respect.

I was sent to the similar school to study kungfu by my parents when I was a kid. Because of I get bully from my classmate in normal school. Actually the Kung Fu learning really help me.

There really is no such thing as shaolin kung fu. Kung fu in the temple comes from many places and is incorporated into what they do. Most of shaolin "history" is literary myth.

Yes the Best and what they do is Needed, LOL. We need People with Acrobatic Dance Skills more then ever, LOL. PS: They can not Fight, all Shalin Masters get Beaten up by Amateurs, constantly. So whats the Point?

Dang I remember the pain and practice it toke to get my leg round my neck 😅, glad I can still do it now as an adult

the reason that the shaolin temples mostly only accept young children is because they do not know how the world functions; they have no standards, so it'd be normal for them, and that they would not have any mental issues to begin with, and hopefully never do even if they leave the temple.

Pretty traumatic being abandoned by your grandma. 😢

Very likely they face the realities that they can't afford this and would rather send them here to be well-fed, disciplined & educated instead of starving, unruly, and lacking in knowledge.
