Ven. Yuthadammo is a Canadian. He served to Sri Lnkan Canadians in Winnipeg Manitoba for years. I met him in 2012. The Monk wanted meditation to practice among Buddhist Winnipegers. But powerful people in Winnipeg wanted more sophisticated theory from him than simple reality found in Buddhisum by meditation. He left Winnipeg and went to Thailand. Now I see he is back to Sri Lanka. I am happy, I drove about 100 km to his meditation program later, another day, I went to clean his new Awasaya in Winnipeg. Once, When the monk was meditating outside, a black bear came down from a tree in front of him.

Sankha Maybe a Bhikshu do not object to but we are to be careful.A Bhikshu not an ordinary worldly people but a highly revered one.He has renounced world.Ask this to any good saint like Thero Gnanasar.Where I live is about 150 to 300 kms from Shrawasti,Kapilvastu and Sarnath.Om Namo Siddhartham!

I am from Magadh janapada where Buddha got enlightenment in Gaya we Bihari believe decedent of Buddha but irony is that we don't follow Buddhism but we have buddhist teachings principles in our culture we are Hindu with Buddhist teachings

There’s a similarity between Hinduism and Buddhism. We believe in rebirth. That’s just one. I’m grateful for these videos. It proves that, if you are a genuine person, you cannot walk pass a Holy monk. These people are rich in their nature. Money cannot buy this kind of nature. It’s normal for these Buddhists. May you all be Blessed. See how patient the monk is. They took a long time to serve his meal, yet he stood patiently.

@@user-ej1fm7pi7y no it didn't come from Hinduism. It came from the Buddha. Buddha rejected the core teachings of Hinduism. But Hindus worship the Buddha as an avatar of one of the Hindu deities, which is wrong according to Buddhism.

Iam a "Buddhist" from Germany and iam so heartwarming fullfilled to see, that there is a real Theravadatradition alive. Most of the Monks, i see in the Videos, are from the West. @@samasama2559 Most of the Western monks ordain when they are adults. So by the time they become monks, they are pretty familiar with the internet and technology. That's why you mostly see Western monks on the internet. Also the Western monks are usually fluent in English unlike most Eastern monks. That helps them to spread the Dhamma internationally to a broader audience. So if westerners come to Asia and learn the Dhamma from proper teachers, they can do a great service to the Sasana.
