I am going to Nazare in 2 weeks and I definitely hope to see Leiria, Obidos, Caldas da Rainha, Peniche...your videos are helpful as always, especially when it comes to figuring out the buses!

Wow, such a great time to be in Nazaré! We hope you see some big waves. I'd so recommend calling into the bus station to ask for timetables, and make sure you note all those different A, B, C etc changes as we did get caught out once 🤣 We love the Silver Coast, and we hope you have an amazing time there! ~ Mandy 😀😁🇵🇹

We love Leiria! It is such a lovely and mellow city, with great transport connections, excellent budget restaurants, and that stunning castle! It's so lovely that both Ma and Gaz said they could live there... I think it was their favourite place in Portugal! ~ Mandy 😀😁

Great video guys. Might have to try and squeeze a day trip to Leiria, haven't been there for years. Where in the world can you visit an amazing castle for that price? Ma convinced me with that yummy looking meal. Happy New Year to you all, so excited 2023 will be my year of travel!

Salam Alaykum or Bom Dia! What a lovely day out in Leria. Unlike some of your previous videos that was rush rush rush, this one has a way more relax vibe to it. The castle seem nice, especially the part where there are seats facing each over with view to the city and what a view! Them trees for sale at 5€ is a bargain, here in France they easily would cost 3 to 4 times more. Regarding the food, what a bargain for the portion size and quality. How can they make any money, I wonder. Thanks for the video, wishing you an enjoyable new years eve and all the best for the year ahead 🎉✨

Alaykum Assalam from Abu Dhabi 🇦🇪😍 So glad you enjoyed the video. Leiria was very special for us, every time we went there we loved it. The castle is marvelous and truly a highlight. I couldn't believe the price of the trees. A fraction of the price we'd pay in UK, NZ or Oz 😳 Mandy has a couple more videos to post from the end of our Portugal time, then we'll start our journey on and Middle East experience. It's tough now as we are out and about exploring for 12 hours a day and it takes a good 10 hours of editing to make a video, so there aren't enough hours in the day. 😳😬☺️. Olá Mandy & Lee! What a great video! I haven’t been to Leiria yet… only past it one time (when I had visitors and I was driving from Óbidos to Fatima then on to see the Dinosaur footprints not far from Fatima. I absolutely want to visit Leiria. Something interesting occurred to me when you had a shot of Lee, taking a photo, at about 11:39 - the Português are not known to be super tall, yet the old building had extremely high ceilings. Hmmmm Obrigada 🤩 Keep Well x

Yes Leiria seems to be one of those cities that most people just pass by. It's definitely worth lingering a while there. We really enjoyed our few visits. I didn't notice those high ceilings. I'll have to check back now. 😂

You're welcome. You can find organic veggies in the supermarkets. Not sure about the local markets. Plenty of fresh locally grown produce there though. 👍

lol ..finding free loo is a real challenge in Europe. The peaches were so cheap!! I was in Barcelona this past summer and fruits were really cheap there, too. However, when I travelled to southern France, everything got so expensive 😅

Yes a free toilet is quite a rare thing in Europe, fortunately there are plenty to be found in Portugal. 😁 You really have to time it right with fruit and if you catch the perfect time of the year when they are in abundance then the price is low. 😁 A great reason to eat what is in season. 👍

Yes, we're currently in Abu Dhabi... but still have a few more Portugal videos to come. That's what happens when I shoot loads of footage but we only upload one video per week! We've actually caught up loads... normally we're 2-3 months behind 😁😉 ~ Mandy
