🎉I appreciate the way you do book reviews. Not only do you explain what the book is about, but also how it made you feel and how different or similar it is from what the synopsis states!! I’ve seen so many booktubers talk about The Inheritance Games, and was looking forward to it. But like you I thought it was going to show more of a game aspect, I am about to be 29 (tomorrow!!) with two little toddlers and one one the way, so far from a teenager! Might get this book for my nephews rather than get it for me. Thank you!! 🎉

I started KOTLC a few months ago and am LOVING the series! I am on book 5 now and can't get enough. Book 3 is my favorite so far. I think Shannon Messenger is so good at an engaging plot and characters who matter!

Lexi I'm really glad that you explained the plot of The Inheritance Games here. I was thinking about picking it up but I would've also expected a totally different story and nothing romance heavy. 🙈 So maybe I'll stick with some other books for now. As for 5 star reads: I am currently reading A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens and I think that's gonna be one of my new favorites. Really loving it so far. ❤

Such a great reading month! Last month I managed to get back into poetry and it was so lovely to be back after a year of just not being in the mood. A memorable five stars for me from last month would probably be Tea With Death by Abigail Wildes which was just this delightful macabre clever collection involving so many death related things whether it be death herself, or ghosts chatting, or poisoned tea. It was just fantastic. Most recently though, Gods of Jade and Shadow by Silvia Moreno-Garcia. This book is beautifully written with rich descriptions. And in it, a girl releases a death god, and becomes bound to him in doing so. The god wishes to take back his throne and to break the bond between them and they go out on their own odyssey. If you want a book with gods that actually reads like your reading about gods, pick it up.

My favorite 5 stars this year were The Invisible Life of Addie Larue, Time after Time(Time Travelers Wife vibes❤️) The Midnight Library and Finlay Donovan. If you liked Time Traveler’s Wife you should read Time After Time by Lisa Grunwald! Great love story. ☕️ ❤️.

Great Video Lexi and I already read The Inheritance Games and the sequel to it too and I throughly enjoyed both and I’m not a teenager I’m an adult Lol 😂 I thought the mystery and solving the riddles was awesome and they did spend some of the book figuring out those riddles so if you can give the sequel a chance I think you would really enjoy it even if you didn’t really like the first book Have a Wonderful Day and Merry Christmas ✨🎄☕️✨🙂

That was my pick too! I haven’t read it yet, as I am finishing up the first book in the WOT series. Such a huge commitment and I’m not sure I’m loving it. I only have 4 chapters left, and the story line and characters are great, but the book is Just way too long in my opinion.

If you can, can you make an upcoming video related to MIDDLE GRADE? ☕☕☕

☕️My latest five star read was the entire Raven Cycle quartet by Maggie Stiefvater! I think it is technically YA but it read like adult to me. The writing is so beautiful, and both the characters and plot/mystery are incredibly compelling! A new all time favorite series for me!!
