THIS STORY:
Todd Smith, 49, was found guilty of killing his 30-year-old wife Katrina in late January and handed a 55-year sentence in an Illinois court. The jury heard how Katrina had begun confiding in then having an affair with a colleague after the couple's marriage started to fall apart.

The Angel face you see is the Haserot, named “The Angel of Death Victorious". The stoic angel is seated on the marble gravestone of canning entrepreneur Francis Haserot and his family. Holding an extinguished torch upside-down, it represents a symbol of life extinguished. Wings are outstretched and the gaze is straight ahead.
IN THE END, DEATH ALWAYS WINS. LEST THE FACES NOT BE FORGOTTEN...
This channel is focused on casually walking and viewing a handful of the thousands of forgotten names and faces at various cemeteries near and afar. Seeing their faces up close. And when able, telling the stories behind their names.
Most graves are unknown and lost to history.
Some are famous.
And some infamous....
....and some with tragic endings.

Cool channel. My dads grave was in this video. My mom is in hospice and her spot next to him will be visited soon. I don't believe in the idea of you can't walk on Graves or that its disrespectful. They mow over it,they have to weed wack around all of them so the grounds people walk over them as well. Its grass and dirt. The respect is to the soul and its not like your hurting the ground or headstones. On the contrary you straightened things up on different ones. Your VERY respectful. Good job.

It is/was a very long story. My beloved husband, John, shot and killed both of his parents on November 29, 1969, here in Houston, Texas. He spent 17 years in the Texas jail/ prison system. He made parole on Martin Luther King Day in 1987. Fast forward. We were rewarded with a son, Michael, in 1992. I had done research on the child abuse inflicted on John (about 1984) by his monster parents. This research would eventually be used to help John make parole. Fast forward to about 2008 when I inadvertently discovered that John had Asperger’s Syndrome. John died in 2018 never being able to accept that he has Aspergers. He would rather be known as a Jack the Ripper wannabe than that he had Aspergers. Reverse backward till about 1995 . John, Michael, and I were visiting John’s parents’ graves (between Huntsville and Houston). Michael being about 2 or 3, suddenly had to pee. He began peeing on John’s father’s grave. Since I had NEVER heard anyone say even one good word about Bill Indo (John’s father) I could not help thinking how well Karma works-Bill Indo (in death and in his grave) got his head peed on by his grandson.

That story had a plot twist. When I saw the wedding photo of husband and wife, they looked so happy and he looked so normal. He played innocent well enough to fool a lot of people because nobody knew his real name until after they figured out he did the crime. It is scary how the violent people aren't always easy to spot. They do not always look crazy or evil.

Thank you for the compassion and reverence with the dead. I spent a lifetime visiting cemeteries. My momma called me her professional mourner because I always went to funerals and memorials of friends, family and coworkers...

Such a sad story. It's so dangerous anymore just to be in a relationship with someone. If you meet someone you would like to date, you need to do a complete background check on them and learn everything you need to know about them beforehand. Better being safe about it.

God bless you Ron for all that you do by remembering those who might have otherwise been forgotten. I’m pretty sure the family members who grieve their loved ones day in day out appreciate you for being so kind and tender hearted when it comes to their loved ones. Most of the time with grief it feels like the rest of the world has gone on with their lives, while us the bereaved are trapped in their own Hell of grief. Time keeps on ticking and a lot of times the bereaved feels like their dead are being forgotten. Time doesn’t always heal wounds, and for some of us grieving are left dealing with PTSD because of sudden tragic losses... The death keeps being relived like movie flicks in our minds repetitiously until our time comes to be back with our loved ones. So when you do these things, it shows a gift of kindness that was bestowed upon you from our Heavenly Father God. It means a lot to those who are left behind and long for the day they’re reunited with their loved ones again. It doesn’t erase the pain, but it shows those who are left behind that they’re loved ones are not forgotten.

I have some family living in Rockford on my mom's side: an uncle and his kids. Saw him and one of his sons in 2009 for my mom's funeral. Appreciate him coming down to see his little sis's services. Thst said, this Smith guy was a piecevof work. Could have just split up and moved on. But some people in a busted relationship cant move forward unleas they resort to violence.

My grandfather's brother played for the Texas Rangers ( pitcher) same era and was known for his unique pitching skills.. very familiar with Baseball players ( love the sport amongst others😉) Unfortunately he ( my grandfather's brother ) lost his pitching arm having to retire early due to an accident. He had his arm hanging out his truck window and from what I was " told" side swiped 😪 So unfortunate to see so many passing away way ahead of their time. God bless their souls🙏💖 Thank you for mentioning about the baseball player🙏 Thank you for another great video, Blessings always to you and your family 🙏💖
