Remembering my old school days when we used to travel on this route by road in our summer vacations ( 1967-70) My father was Research officer in CWPC. MrKhalsa55 Yes, drives from Chhindwara to Sawantwadi, in a old Jeep are some of my best memories from the 1970s, it’s a shame we didn’t have cameras back then.

No.. west extreme would be somewhere after Gondia.. I think Salekasa is the last station before chhattisgarh

As per my knowledge, Maharashtra Express is still longest intra state journey (Kolhapur-Gondia)

Nice vlog . Interestingly this route is almost 170kms shorter than what Maharashtra express takes from Nagpur to Kolhapur via Bhusawal ,Manmad and Pune .

That was a wonderful journey. Interesting to note that there is no direct route diagonally from Nagpur to Kolhapur in a straight line. The route first goes West West all the way to Akola and then proceeds Southwest to Kolhapur. (I was watching this video along with Google Map). However, a train journey is always fun no matter how long it is. I would like to compliment you for the running commentary and the bold captions inserted for naming the stations. Also, enjoyed watching your photos and happy faces whenever you stepped out. Overall you created an excellent video and I enjoyed it.
