much of the marketing style of Ralph was the work of Bruce Weber. Due to some issues with models accusations he is not talked about much anymore.

There aren't many mosquitos because of the constant Trade Winds for the sea. Mosquitoes have a hard time when the air isn't still, even a simple ceiling fan can make them less of a problem.
