I have been learning Persian for almost 4 months mostly just with LingQ (reading and listening) and listening to native speakers talk on KZread. About 2 months ago, I decided to focus on Afghan Persian (Dari) which has some notable differences but as long as you’re aware of them, it’s easy enough to understand. Tajik, too. I also downloaded the free Dari course from DLI, they have Farsi too.

Hello👋🏻👋🏻the way you learn persian is really cool and i think youre doing it great. i just noticed 2 mistakes in youre note book that i think maybe i should mention them. the word "راسو" means "weasel" and in persian 'squirrel' means 'سنجاب' . and i saw "دوست دارام" which actually shuold be "دوست دارَم"

This video was so refreshing. I'm back in school to pursue a second career and have NO free time to study my languages and I'm jonesing hard. I wish I could go to a cute cafe and study Spanish for hours but instead I have to study fucking binomial distribution. Living vicariously through you. 😭

good to see you back! i'm in my first year of university and i've been kinda surprised at how much time i've been able to study languages in time passing on accident lol. sometimes me waking up and wanting to describe how i'm feeling turns into a two hour session on how 2 verbs mean the same thing with slight but very important nuances LOL

Nice video...Definitely you should bottle your straightening-up secrets because there's no way I could do that w/o just dumping everything into a large box and dealing with it some other time....probably. :) I decided last year to self-study Swedish, though not at diligently as I'd like. Once I've got a job again (long story), I'm planning to hit iTalki for some lessons. Until then, reading and KZread creators. :) Disfrútate en méxico!

(doost as noun means friend) but doost + the congugated form of the verb ( dashtan) means ( to like) (Dashtan is infinitive and it's past if don't conjugate) Exp: man to ra doost daram، من تو را دوست دارم، I like you. Man ketabha ra doost daram، من کتاب ها را دوست دارم, I like books. You may hear dooset دوسِت daram sometimes its for more emphasis. I hope this become handy for you, wish you luck, I'm here if you had more questions😊

How so you get your other languages to shut off while focusing on studying a less fluent one? Cada vez que me atrevo a empezar a estudiar el hindi, el español me viene corriendo y nunca me deja en paz. Claro que sí quiero seguir aprendiéndolo -- pero no me permite concentrar suficiente, y por eso no hago el progreso que hubiera querido con el hindi. Aconséjame, porfis!!! ¿Cómo apagas los otros idiomas para que te enfoques en el nuevo?

Unlike Arabic, we don't use ُ ِ َ on words after one or two years school but at the beginning these signs are useful for pronunciation, and when we type persian with English alphabet we use a as آ. اَ it may seem hard but if you learn Persian alphabet the problem will get solved. Exp: دارَم، daram هَسْتَم hastam The ْ sign means the letter is pronounced like it has no vowels and pronounced like consenant , you say di to refer to letter d in english you say سِ se to say letter س in Persian.

younger Germans usually say "A.I" instead of "K.I.". If you say KI in a casual setting, you sound like a boomer who doesn't know a thing about the internet xD But since you used it in the context of an essay, it's fine.
