💌 about me: my name is Elysse, I'm 24 years old from the southern U.S. I've been learning languages for about 8 years, and I speak English (native), Spanish (C2), German (B2/C1), French (C1), Portuguese (B2), American Sign Language (advanced), and Turkish (A1). I'm interested in learning Hebrew, Chinese, Georgian, and maybe Náhuatl as well :)

i am iranian and i speak persian . so glad you started to learn it . there are so many beautiful poems in this language . wish u luck and happiness ♥♥♥
oh my god as a persian native speaker i gotta tell you that your handwritting is incredibly perfect .
Dein Deutsch klingt so krass gut! Ich hab dich nur gefunden, weil ich nach Videos zum Spanisch lernen gesucht habe und ich liebs
I have been learning Persian for almost 4 months mostly just with LingQ (reading and listening) and listening to native speakers talk on KZread. About 2 months ago, I decided to focus on Afghan Persian (Dari) which has some notable differences but as long as you’re aware of them, it’s easy enough to understand. Tajik, too. I also downloaded the free Dari course from DLI, they have Farsi too.
Good to see you back! Your editing is top-notch!
I just found your channel because of your reels on Instagram and I fell in love with your content immediately! I feel inspired after watching your content haha.
Ahhh there she is and speaking my favorite language 😍 it amazes me seeing you switch between languages. I can't wait to get there with German and other languages. So glad you posted!
Thank you for your dedication Elysse; it’s so inspiring! ❤
I absolutely love listening to your German. Its sounds so beautiful and your pronunciation is spot on
you motivate me . Thank you ❤
Hi Elysse, I hope life has been treating you well. It's good to see you again.
Hello👋🏻👋🏻the way you learn persian is really cool and i think youre doing it great. i just noticed 2 mistakes in youre note book that i think maybe i should mention them. the word "راسو" means "weasel" and in persian 'squirrel' means 'سنجاب' . and i saw "دوست دارام" which actually shuold be "دوست دارَم"
امیدوارم بهت خوش بگذره 😊 Hope you have fun!
Very good persian pronunciation. I'm impressed. 👏👏.
This video was so refreshing. I'm back in school to pursue a second career and have NO free time to study my languages and I'm jonesing hard. I wish I could go to a cute cafe and study Spanish for hours but instead I have to study fucking binomial distribution. Living vicariously through you. 😭
Dein deutsch ist so gut! Du hast kaum einen Akzent, du kannst wirklich stolz auf dich sein.
Your videos are goated young boul
That intro tho🔥 looks straight out of badass movie damn
good to see you back! i'm in my first year of university and i've been kinda surprised at how much time i've been able to study languages in time passing on accident lol. sometimes me waking up and wanting to describe how i'm feeling turns into a two hour session on how 2 verbs mean the same thing with slight but very important nuances LOL
Nice video...Definitely you should bottle your straightening-up secrets because there's no way I could do that w/o just dumping everything into a large box and dealing with it some other time....probably. :) I decided last year to self-study Swedish, though not at diligently as I'd like. Once I've got a job again (long story), I'm planning to hit iTalki for some lessons. Until then, reading and KZread creators. :) Disfrútate en méxico!
I've been wanting to use Lingoda and do the Sprint :( but they don't have Korean classes unfortunately
Funny, I just checked your channel yesterday, hoping for a new video.
I really want to say it is impressive, i know german a bit, but never being fully in it.
موفق باشیییی❤ Good luck with Persian.
(doost as noun means friend) but doost + the congugated form of the verb ( dashtan) means ( to like) (Dashtan is infinitive and it's past if don't conjugate) Exp: man to ra doost daram، من تو را دوست دارم، I like you. Man ketabha ra doost daram، من کتاب ها را دوست دارم, I like books. You may hear dooset دوسِت daram sometimes its for more emphasis. I hope this become handy for you, wish you luck, I'm here if you had more questions😊
I listen to the Chai and Conversation podcast. very interesting
How so you get your other languages to shut off while focusing on studying a less fluent one? Cada vez que me atrevo a empezar a estudiar el hindi, el español me viene corriendo y nunca me deja en paz. Claro que sí quiero seguir aprendiéndolo -- pero no me permite concentrar suficiente, y por eso no hago el progreso que hubiera querido con el hindi. Aconséjame, porfis!!! ¿Cómo apagas los otros idiomas para que te enfoques en el nuevo?
Unlike Arabic, we don't use ُ ِ َ on words after one or two years school but at the beginning these signs are useful for pronunciation, and when we type persian with English alphabet we use a as آ. اَ it may seem hard but if you learn Persian alphabet the problem will get solved. Exp: دارَم، daram هَسْتَم hastam The ْ sign means the letter is pronounced like it has no vowels and pronounced like consenant , you say di to refer to letter d in english you say سِ se to say letter س in Persian.
Unterhaltung means «entertainment», not «conversation», that’s probably why you got confused.

It means both but it depends on the context

OHHHH thank you! None of the dictionaries said that
I speak both German and Persian, how do you have a really good accent and pronunciation? I struggle a lot with words like 'aussprechen'. How do I improve my accent in German?
Whenever you get good at farsi on a native level I really recommend you start reading Persian poetry. Farsi is one of the most poetic languages and the poetry is insane
موفق باشی❤
❤❤❤
How well can you understand Tajik or speak with a Tajik?
Ich muss sagen, ich mach immer meine Kam aus wenn ich die Option habe. Bin immer total nervös in Meetings haha
Also notice that when you دوست something, it means you like it. However when you دوست someone, it means you love the person 😅❤
Hoolo elyless
im a native persian speaker and for yall who are on your journey of learning persian, be sure that you wont regret it.
"I've been in their shoes" 😂
Persian! Awwwwww❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hii🙋🏻♀️ I'm from Iran🇮🇷 If you have any questions about Persian/ Farsi I'd be happy to help.
Doost doesn't only mean friend that's why ur confused doost also mean like as a noun
Hii😊
I see Deutsches Geplapper, on my second way though all his episodes haha
I was totally blown away! Learning Persian? :))))
Me, native German: where is her accent?? She speaks more clearly than some Germans! :)
Lol I'm Persian I never thought of the language that way.
Hablas español o portugues???? Nice video 😍😍😍😍😍
Heyy guys! I have a quick question- can anyone recommend me a lifestyle german youtuber?? The kicker is that I don’t know german that well - like a a2 level. Thanks in advance!!!
@biri_ste_

If you are a2 level I highly recommend cartoons. Because the german youtubers might be toofast for you to understand and cartoons contains sentences that are basic, usefull and slow it will develop your level and understanding(?). If you want it I can recommend some german cartoons

آفرین به تو دختری که از تنسی هستی. امیدوارم زبان فارسی را به خوبی یاد بگیری. ❤
I dont know if you learned it in the lesson. Unterhaltung also means entertainment, which makes more sense in this case.
which german accent did you decide to learn :)
@Annikidiary

She speaks standard high German. Which is the German everyone in Germany understands dialects varies so much not everyone can understand them. Plus it’s generally easier to learn standard German since they’re more resources with that kind of German
Are wishing the voice in Germany I am
Could anyone please put on some German subtitles? I beg uuuuuu guys ❤
younger Germans usually say "A.I" instead of "K.I.". If you say KI in a casual setting, you sound like a boomer who doesn't know a thing about the internet xD But since you used it in the context of an essay, it's fine.

07:32 the last sentence there is actually written a bit different :) "واقعا؟ عالیه! (از آشنایی با شما) خوشبختم" Fabulous on everything else though! 🤌👏
