@@erosbutyassifiedit does get easier but it can lead to burnout as well. I usually study languages between 4 to 6h a day. Minimum 4h. more if I count watching tv shows or playing games as « study time ». I personally count these as « relaxation time ». I’m so addicted to languages that I can’t help but spend 7 to 10h daily but tend to burnout after 2 month of daily work like this, so I go back to 2h a day for a month and then back to 7h a day for 1 or 2 month. That’s how I rotate 😅

@@user-go6il2tm4b I’ve been thrilled every single second I spent thinking about languages, linguistics or learning languages since I was 5 years old. It’s always a pure blast. I’m 37 and the love and passion I have for languages only grows bigger with time, cause the more you know the more it becomes fascinating. The more languages you grasp the more you understand the world’s immense puzzle of languages :) I speak about 11 languages, can read about 8 different writing systems… I have studied about 20 languages in my life up until now but I’m currently only fluent in 6. It comes and goes, I have some languages that I forgot completely and I don’t mind, some that just fall asleep and then after a few days they are back as fresh as before, some that always stay strong because they are imbedded deep down in me like a native… But yes, the more languages you study, the easier it gets. And it all makes more and more sense.

I have been following you since I was A0 in German, your video on resources to study german introduced me to your great content on the topic of learning languages and since then, I've been hooked. Now I'm sort of at a C1 Academical Level of German (TestDaF mit TDN5, through long self-study-session of 8 hours and drilling tons of vocab and grammar in Anki ;'( ), and I just wanna say thank you for the resources video in that video, because through it, I discovered a lot of other resources that helped through my journey. Now I'm enjoying more the language through reading books (just like the ones from my favorite authours like Haruki Murakami), and it feels like German Learning really starts when you get to a C1 Level. Every day I still learn/acquire a ton of vocabs from books, watching TV or reading/watching(sometimes) Tagesschau.

Hi Elysse. This is not a criticism at all, because I've heard other people say it in recent years. You say expEEriment (long e) instead of exPERiment (short e). Did you ever notice that, or did anyone ever mention that to you before? I'm not saying it to troll or anything. I just often notice how people pronounce words, and when I hear something that doesn't sound common I start looking into it. I've checked different dictionaries and this phenomenon seems to be relatively recent because neither Webster's nor the Oxford dictionary cites the former pronunciation. Just wondering if you were conscious of your pronunciation of the word. It's the second time in a video I've heard you say it.
