a CHANGE OF PLANS for these boys... | Vlog 634
A soggy week on the farm meant some odd jobs with the sheep, including our second attempt at lice treating the ewes that were sheared a couple weeks ago!
Finally back at corn harvest, and what started off as a good day didn't end that way. More on that later...
AND...
sharing the story of BIG MAMA! KZread's favourite mama.

I have never heard someone so excited to say "My lice treatment came in."
SASSY BIG MAMA!! My absolute favorite of the ladies! I LOVE LOVE the sideways glance over her shoulder! She is such a DIVA and I totally relate to her! The only ewe I loved more was Goat, I miss her so much. I cried ugly tears when she passed. Let’s hope we don’t shed any tears for any of the Golden Girls anytime soon.
Sandie- “I don’t want fat sheep” Big mama & large marge- *gasp*
Big Momma had that over the shoulder look she always gave you that I think is hilarious! She is the bomb.
I'm very happy, and secure, in the knowledge that I'm not the only person with a new-found sheep obsession!!! I even bought this sheep-grain bag that was converted to a reusable bag (I sent Sandi a pic on insta!) And yes, my son has grown up with Sandi and the sheep the last few years (and has asked if we can make our next trip to be into Canada during spring lambing!!)

Awww, Big Mama, I just love how she turned around and gave you “ the look “ after going through that gate! 😂😂😂

I always look forward to new videos. When you don’t post any for a while it makes me sad. I love watching anything about your farm. I would fall in love with each and every lamb born. I’m addicted to you videos! Love your smile.
Love the golden girls. The way you interact with the sheep is so sweet💖. I can see where it would be easy to have favorites. Goat with the bucket on her head was hilarious. 💜
I was raised on a big farm. My dad was amazing. Tons of Cattle, cats, chickens and two horses. The house was built in the middle of nothing! Oh we had a herding dog. He was amazing.
I went to a house for a Bible study and there was lice. That was 10 years ago. I was 69 at the time. Talk about traumatic Sandi, I finally got rid of them with treatments of tea tree oil. I still shudder when I think about it. Happy the sheep keep them to themselves. Love your videos. I owned a vineyard for a while, and I can appreciate all the hard work that goes into farming of any kind.

Sandra Kennedy I'm an old school secretary. Head lice are hard to get out as an adult. No one wants to nit pick adult hair, but kids is easier depending on thickness. Head lice don't bother me as I've seen so many! I never got them either, but my kids did. There's a new product called Fairy Tales that is milder and uses an enzyme to break down the cement that holds the eggs on the hair shaft. I have some as backup for my granddaughters!❤️

Georgia I was glad to read I'm not the only one following multiple types farming community KZread vloggers. It provides me with such peace of years on my grandparents farm. I love each of the golden girls for their individual personality traits. I was also concerned about Ruby Sandy she walked a little heavy and looked a little confused at first until Billy's mom came to get her. Is she getting sheep alzheimers 🤔, dehydrated, hmmm. I think it's funny how Tomatoes has to always stand in the grain container to eat. Like it's all mine, mine I tell you all, go get your own, I'm on top of the world. I also worry when she jumps on you one of these times, like when it's icy this winter, she's going to push you down and injure you. Always have your phone on you to call for help even when you're not filming. A lot of farmers used radio devices to communicate in case of emergency I noticed. It's a nursing thing always preventing and preparing.

It is so funny when you start working the sheep. First we see you guys walk with a fence along the feed alley to the back, followed by a very happy and eager little helper. It really warms my heart that you are so concerned about the health of your charges that you have retired them as a preventative measure rather than have them deal w issues later. She used to have more Suffolk rams and a little while back she decided to ship them because they were too big and difficult for handling purposes. When sorting them out and scanning them, she realized that one of those rams no longer had an ear tag (it had come out at some point) and because ear tags are required for sheep to leave a farm, that ram got to stay and became known as “Lucky”
