This is a good translation of this poignant song. I might suggest that, Matt, you seek translations of songs before presenting them to add context for non-Hindi speakers. Also, I'd ask friends for pronunciations of names and words. Waheeda (Wa-heed-aa) Rehman (Re-heh-maan) . Jaa-nay woh ka-i-say. Thanks for these videos. Her wealthy husband had hired him temporarily as a waiter/servant for a party in his house. He will find out soon about the affair his wife had with his servant Guru Dutt.
