@@solom465 I am liberal - I have watched the W for years. I have league pass the last 3 years. All these people are correct. They need to stop gaslighting. They are trying to see who is gonna break CC. We call out the male athletes for being jealous, we called it out when it was Serena Williams, Tiger Woods - they are making excuses for the WNBA women who are acting out. Some of it is completely fine and competition and some welcome to the pros - some of it is over the line. CC having one of her teammates have a GF on the other team and support the girl calling out CC over her own teammate??? What NBA player deals with that?? Then Carrington comes to the game and sits there to watch CC - this is toxic beyond toxic. Pretending it’s not happening is making liberals look ridiculous - and I am a liberal - I don’t want us to look ridiculous. But they are talking down to fans and it’s offensive. Telling SAS he could have covered the WNBA 3 years ago - no one was watching it then. They need to understand they are in the entertainment business and stop crying about “I deserve this” - stop! You are gonna drive away the new fans and I don’t wanna see them blow this! I am an actual fan who wants the league to grow - not someone virtue signaling to use this for some grandstanding on politics.

This whole nonsense fans and media have of treating Clark like she’s the WNBA messiah needs to stop. She’s playing in the pro league now, rivalries will happen and tensions will always be there, it’s not always a merry-rose garden stroll. We get that she’s extremely good but that doesn’t warrant any special treatment from her competitors or from the league itself. I understand accidents happen, but Andraya is pointing out Reese's vicious foul as a common and physical basketball play? If true, then WNBA needs to do better and impose heavier penalties if a vicious swipe to a players' head is a common occurrence. This is a "professional" league, not a prison ball.

Maybe someone should explain to Andraya Carter that just because the WNBA has always been physical that we don’t want to see it anymore. Just because something has always been done is an argument for the weak minded. She can’t even see or realize that maybe the WNBA should remove that from the games. You do see that in a lot of WNBA games now they are calling more hard fouls and technicals.

I think it was close enough to a basketball play but what gets me is her press conferences where she is all defensive and blames everyone but herself. How about a little humility. How about saying: I went for the block, I missed, my fault no ill intent.” On the officiating: sometimes you get calls and some nights you don’t. Sometimes if you want to be heard, you have to convince people to listen first.

WNBA reminds of the NBA back in the 80's and 90's. Andraya is right, this is a physical league. The examples she mentioned are reminiscent to old school NBA in that era, a lot of hard fouls and this exact play would have been a common foul back then. Although the WNBA would not want these type of plays either, this could easily be a season ending injury if she landed the wrong way. Which is probably why you seldom see these types of foul in the NBA today. Not because they want to protect their players, but rather want to protect their business.

Rivalry? Please show the attendance and viewer ratings of Reese games when she isn't playing Clark and then show the same when Clark isn't playing Reese. There is NO comparison. I understand your ESPN so you have to pretend like it isn't just and only Clark.
