This is how I feel about my Great Grandparents My Papa is 98, and my Granny is in her early 90's if I'm correct, and they're just now starting to lose memory and not be able to drive. (Tbh they should've stopped for a while, but Granny and Papa were extremely stubborn.) I love the fact that I was able to actually spend time and have memories of them as early as I do. Most of the time they still are able to remember me, which I think is pretty cool at least. Most of their memory stuff is just then thinking my Mom is still in college. They're still able to walk and cook for themselves and stuff like that at their age. Hope I get to see them soon tho, incase I don't later.

Nothing is our choice really and the sooner we realize it the better. Those two are lucky to be that age and still walking and talking. My father who was always active and healthy at 67 ended up being 24/7 care case for the last 7 years of his life. He certainly didn’t choose that for himself. Enjoy the life as long as you can and as it lasts.

We are all his children and he wants the best for us. Maybe from that scripture he’s saying he created us and we chose evil. Sin brought calamity, disease, war, pestilence and much more. If it were not for our Lord Jesus, we would not sustain what goes on here. The Lord receives his children at his bosom and holds them dear, so as, to snatch them from the turmoil of this world. It's tragic & sad that so many ignore elderly people, the ones we need the most right now. They are a treasure of wisdom, experience, history & solid advice. They're also very fun & interesting! I could listen to their stories all day. I don't mind if some are cranky or irritable sometimes, they're in pain often, or troubled about something. Instead of crying they'll just seem angry or rough. If you are kind & patient most will soften, in my experience. They are the most wonderful friends, usually expecting nothing. And usually so grateful even for little things. I've always been drawn to them, had many for friends. It's hard to lose them, but well worth the time with them.
