So I think he misspoke a bit there, but let's dive in regardless. Firstly, let's be clear that dealerships want to do warranty work. They get compensation for the parts, tech time, and administration fees from the OE when they complete a warranty claim. Where this gets muddy is that at any time the OE can deny compensation from a warranty job because of modifications ( if they look in to it). This leaves the dealership to eat all of the costs, which is generally why there's a large difference between dealerships that are willing to accept a larger margin of risk when it comes to completing warranty work on modified cars. Secondly, make no mistake, if a catastrophic failure occurs and it's modified you are likely paying for it. That's fine, I can accept the small risk - this is a cheap hyundai not a Porsche. Again, if you're too scared of getting warranty claims denied, do not modify your car. Simple as that.

Incase you didnt know, with manual N cars (and the DCT to some extent), if you rev out the car in 2nd or third gear and let off at high rpms to get some insane exhaust cracks you can just barely tap the gas pedal and it will keep backfiring. I found this out with my VN a year or so ago. Im sure this isnt new info, but hey figured someone might not know lol
What I will say is these sound even better with a full exhaust. Been watching some Ben lovrien content the sxth downpipe video. 10/10 would try to tune a gti or mk7r exhaust to sound like these. I'd steal these seats for a golf as well the gti and golf r should have had seats like these. And you're right you can't beat the warranty

I have a veloster N. If you swap an elantra N turbo onto a VN you can get an easy 350+ hp. Of course heat exchangers would need an upgrade.
Any info on what the stock clutch and the stock internals can handle. I previously owned a s280/port injection fiesta st that probably made 380whp. Went to a q50 after it blew up and am bored out of my mind. This car intrigues me.
does tuning it make it unreliable at all or will it not affect that? Looking into the elantra n as a daily with a lil bit of speed and wanna add more eventually with the tune
Would appreciate a video on why you chose sxth over lap3 for the tune. Trying to learn which is better. Is there a stage 2 SXTH? Lap3 has achieved 400hp.
This thing is insane. All you have done is the tune? Are you concerned tuning will void the warranty?
Did you keep the bracing piece in the trunk out or put it back in for track? Does it make a noticeable difference? Also does the tune void the warranty? Thanks!
Always appreciate your vids. Nice seeing you go for a drive, take the back roads and smile while giving your input. I would ask two questions: 1) Are you street driving in N Mode or N custom mode with some different tune settings? 2) You talked about Hyundai's Warranty. With the mods you done, how confident are you that they wont void warranty because you added mods to the car. While reading the warranty section, it suggests warranty can be voided if any mods are done and I'm sure Hyundai will make claims that the reason for any failure will be directed to the mods, etc. Perhaps you can talk about that a bit during your next vid or just your initial thoughts on that.

As a Velo N owner the only issue Ive seen with SXTH element is they do this very foolish thing where they tune the electronic throttle to go full 100% when you're only pressing the pedal at 30%, it makes daily driving substantially worse for most people (I have 3 other friends with Velo N's who all have shared the same sentiment) SXTH refuses to acknowledge that it's their doing, and they say "all N's act like this stock" (newsflash, they don't) If you do tune, dont cheap out with a JB4, go straight to LAP3 who has a much more all around driveable tune. If you do have a Veloster N and you do plan on getting power, get the Turbo from the Elantra N as it's a substantially better build with higher boost yield, power output, and is less likely to shatter like the fragile turbo that comes stock. I've tracked 3 times so far with my veloster N, and honestly stock it doesn't need much more, but for power, get the elantra N turbo, don't bother with the stock turbo as it's too problematic. Thanks for reading this if you did and hopefully I helped someone out. (BTW, velo N has the same seats for 2021/2022, and the same crackles and pops)
