@@astin3407unfortunately most of the world doesn’t see it this way. When you are nervous it means you are not confident, and so the recipient(s) interpret your nervousness as weakness and makes them subconsciously already reject you/assume you don’t deserve it. Logically this makes sense, if u ask someone to do something dangerous it’s a good thing to detect their nervousness and then turn them down. It only sucks because it doesn’t work in our modern game of social politics. There’s also a massive side effect where ignorance is viewed as confidence which leads to incompetent people being perceived highly and getting a yes.

I must admit I didn't give her much credit for acting but, I realize I can be very judgmental even about myself. Thank you for representing not just black women but, West Indian women with all this talent, and the gift of confidence in your public speaking. Thank you for being on this earth, and by the way I loved your character in Sister Act 1 or 2.

Three things that we all must do in order to believe in ourselves 1. We need to see ourselves; really, truly, deeply see ourselves for who and what we are in order to believe in ourselves. 2. Think about ourselves in order to believe in ourselves. 3. We got to act like we believe in ourselves

Her Tom Cruise story so resonated with me. I often forget the positives about me because the negatives take up space in my mind. I'm learning to believe in me and my abilities, regardless of what is thought of me.
