A 3-Part Plan to Take On Extreme Heat Waves | Eleni Myrivili | TED

Ғылым және технология

The deadliest severe weather phenomenon is something you might not realize: extreme heat. Eleni Myrivili, chief heat officer of the city of Athens, Greece, explains that extreme heat and heat waves are often overlooked because they're not as dramatic as flooding or hurricanes - and breaks down three approaches to keep cities cool in a time of rapid global temperature rise. "Cranking up the air conditioner is just not going to cut it," she says.

It kills 8 times more right now, you can look it up. So yes actually a bit more heat would save lives. That is the fact, ofc not denying climate change, not at all, but in that sense it is what it is. We should really look at oceans acidification, plastification and level rising. That's where the important issue is.

If your going to have any longterm effect on climate change you have to reduce birth rates and fundamentally change our economic system to one that is sustainable. No one’s even discussing this.

It’s been 50 years since the 1972 Stockholm conference, and there have been so many climate conferences until today. All talk and no or little action. In the meantime, it seems to have become too late, with things getting only worse and worse. Everything has a point of no return. And the climate crisis may well have already reached its tipping point. All we can do now is to try to mitigate the impact just like a driver who, when knowing a crash is unavoidable, tries to minimize the damage by braking and steering.

Some of her ideas are good. However, we cannot base any decisions we make on the Current Climate. That is the height of ignorance, propaganda, and hugely detrimental folly. We are in an Ice Age. And the climate could change to be 5 or 10 degrees colder on average overnight/ within 5 or 10 years, -a century or less. There is nothing Humans can do about the Weather. Humans have nothing whatsoever to do with Climate. The scientific evidence is absolutely conclusive/ overwhelming in this regard. Yet we are continually propaganda brainwashed with the Special Interest Political and Financial Agenda, to accept the conspiracy as scientific fact.

This comment seems to come from a climate change denier. I assume I cannot convince you that human caused climate change is real, but at the very least can I convince you that the changes she advocates for are net positives? Don’t we all want our urban spaces to be greener, cooler in the summertime, more resistant to floods and soil erosion? It seems like a win-win, even if you don’t believe that humans are warming the planet through emission of greenhouse gases.

If anyone has a problem they want to solve: (Whatever health, social or financial) By (problems) I mean all problems. Healthy -- I mean sick.. any disease.. Social --- means a single person who wants to get married, He has a disobedient son, he has a strong father on him, She has a bad husband...and so on. Finance. -- I mean, he has a debt, his livelihood is weak. Among the ways to solve problems: 1. Continuous daily charity, even if a little. 2. Repetitive supplication anyway (two words) Oh Lord bless me, Lord heal me, Lord spend my religion. 3. Kiss your father and mother's hand every day, even once. Then I pray to God (two words) 4. Morning and Evening Prayers . 5. Forgiveness while continuing. 6. Repeat..there is no power and no strength but Allah. 7. Prayers for the Prophet while continuing. 8. Read Surat Al-Baqarah daily, even if it is by mobile phone, even if it is intermittent in stages. 9. Humanitarian aid and supplication afterwards. [The meaning of this paragraph is (benevolence to creation) whether it is a human being or an irrational being cat or sparrow]. 10. Duha prayer four rak'ahs. 11 . Two units of prayer of need... with the intention of (healing / marriage / sustenance) repeat it every day. 12. Al-Raqiya Al-Shari'a - by yourself - from it - To read Surat Al-Ikhlas or Al-Fatihah or something else on the Water and drink..every day even once. You will see good and pleasant results, God willing These are all tried and true in real life... and there are people who adhere to them And reap a lot of good results... And it is not a requirement that you do it all... Take from it What suits your situation and condition.. even if I stuck to one paragraph of it, and I won.. Note: How if you do these points or Some of them solve problems? The answer--your problem will be solved with one There are two ways, but God guides you for a reason missing you... Or that God mocks you from external causes Other people do not solve your problem. May God grant you success... God bless our Prophet Muhammad and his family and companions . Do not forget the good prayers .....,,,,,,,
