    Okay, I stumbled on this channel this month but I have a lot to say.... I am a beginner but your videos have helped me improve SO MUCH. I've been intently watching chess videos from very popular YT channels like GothamChess and Hikaru...I appreciate them but after watching videos from this channel, I see a huge difference in my game. As sensational and entertaining as videos from these folks are, I find that the overall value it yields to my performance in chess games is very little. I've watched your Sicilian Defence video maybe 1 million times and I swear I've been seeing a difference. Your video on how to memorise a chess game has also been invaluable!! I've noticed that so much about being a decent chess player is about pattern recognition and then making fewer unforced errors. May you please continue making teaching videos. So maybe the Scotch something something, Ruy Lopez something something and the various other openings and defenses that they usually tell us "go read the theory on x" in most videos, cause let's be honest, there's no time to be doing that, it's so laborious - I tried it and also, it just takes the fun out of chess for me. However I enjoy it when you teach these concepts, so selfishly I'm asking if it's possible for you to do the theory and then teach us in an hour relaxing video 🤭🥺 okay, I'm done with my pleas. I hope you can consider them.

  • @ASMRChess

    @ASMRChess

    Hmm I thought I experienced some bugs with the board in this video. However a few of them were simply me being too focused on the ASMR experience and not noticing what was actually going on. I’ve encountered a few bugs with the board like I’ve sometimes lost on time when the clock showed I had 3-4 seconds left. Pretty minor stuff but I’ve been talking to Jeff who owns the company and his guys are hard at work fixing everything. In fact every bug I’ve reported so far has already been fixed.

    So a couple of thoughts I have: First, I don't think that having no animation for resigning is a bug or at the very least if it is, it's one that's been around for quite some time. I seem to recall opponents in previous videos resigning and no animations playing. I do agree though, it should play an animation. Second, do you know if ChessUp has any plans to add other Chess websites I can play on? If not, could I maybe hook this board up to my computer and write a program of some kind? Finally, that last game was crazy! I think I slightly prefer white in that position, but it's a very dynamic and tricky position, definitely not an easy one. Rather unfortunate that the clock ended that game prematurely, I was very interested in seeing where it was going. Well played!
