We don't have wrestling at school in the UK. I imagine it's great for keeping fit and building confidence and I think learning this discipline would give you the confidence that you could hold your own in a fight. I Get no-one bullies these guys, they would have the whole team to answer too!

I’m sure you do somewhere, even if it’s not as common anymore. It was British settlers that introduced Greco-Roman style wrestling to the US.

They both do well. Red helmet is smart to wear ear protectors. The both of these light boys have a good sportsman attitude.

Parents should insist this other kid wear ear protectors to keep from getting cauliflower cartilages .

No, submission holds are illegal in folkstyle wrestling.

K what hunch I did not see an hunching down

Both wrestlers had a enthusiastic attitude for the start of this match but by matches end both wrestlers seemed overmatched by fatigue of being under developed which is understandable they need to bulk up and both need time in gym for the skills and off site practice just to wrestle.

Watch the very end of the video. The wrestler with the red gander around his ankle. The ref raises his arm with the red band signifying who won.

1:13 The sound of his body hitting the mat just made me cringe, but they are light so it probably doesn't hurt as much as it would hurt me! I slipped and got knocked out by hitting the wall so I would definitely brake my neck doing that move

So who win? I have no clue what's going on. How do you win this? Grab opponent's head? Hand? Leg? Or pin opponent's back or butt to the ground? Why there is no punching or kicking? This is not the same as UFC? Darn it.. I have a lot of questions..

Is no one going to dispute that that was a takedown? No way was that control on the mat beyond reaction time. I think the referee didn't want an overtime match so he made that call. CS call is what it was. Red stalled two thirds of the match.

The thing about wrestling is when you lose or cry nobody cares they feel nothing on the mat other than the drive to win

Mason, the boy in grey, is quite dirty in many of his moves, starting by pressing Justus (red helmet) balls and causing him an obvious pain the referee "casually" didn't see. He did it twice and in another moment he pressed his leg on that zone, as also tried to twist Justus leg, among other issues. Is this fair play and a well-achieved victory as many here seem to praise?

A rubber helmet? 🤣😂🤣😂 There are only TWO kinds of official head protection in wrestling. The mostly required ear guard (which Thrasher is wearing) and the face guard (which is rare to see). A rubber helmet! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

Wait, the knee-pad guy is fighting dirty! He grabs red-helmet guy's balls and isn't that an illegal move, it's gotta hurt. He done it twice I'm kind of surprised red-helmet dude didn't just wig out and go ballistic. You do that shite in freestyle grappling you get penalty... Do it twice you get disqualified.

It isn't a helmet and freestyle is weak

Week shots. They want to tie up then sit there. Period 2 the top kid did literally nothing but a mat return. Do they not teach pinning combinations. Coaches barely say anything the whole time but come on takedowns guys. This was horrible for this many views. I know alot of kids much younger then these with skills far beyond this.

I'm not sure what you mean by this. But with certain moves on take downs or escapes you're scored 1-2 points. And pinning also counts as points.
