Today the 5" Seamless Gutters were installed on the Hobby Barn, All made on site and was very impressive! We also did some grading inside the building with the Kubota MX 5400 and the Kubota BX 23S. I also took a little time to head to the woods and check out the fall foliage and see how its coming along!

Yet again big THANKS to you Mike for another GREAT ride-along in the woods. Beautiful country there and gives me serenity. I already told you I’m a truck driver. I used to drive OTR to the east coast. My first trip out I drove through a snowstorm and I discovered my “safe haven” there in Somerset, PA coming into a relatively flat area. It was an EXTREME relief to stop during that February storm.

Hi Mike, This is your neighbor to the north in Caledonia. I know you have a lot of irons in the fire at this time, but I've been waiting to see all the Morgans' together for an evening campfire out at the mini cabin. Apples are a big crop in my area, we'd have cider and donuts, hot dogs on a stick, s'mores family stories and a few silly songs. I hope you folks can find the time to do that before it gets too cold. Take care and God Bless..

There are mixed reviews on those. All depends on what types of trees you have around the structure. Conifers, which would include trees like spruce and pine create major problems with leaf filters. The needles are so fine, they often clog the openings, and create a huge mess.

Right when you hopped on the BX you had great footage of one BX weakness... The headlights are useless with a front end loader. My cousin has a BX and I've suggested to her to paint the back of the bucket flat black to avoid being blinded by the bright orange refection when working in the dark with the loader. Fortunately she got LED's on the ROPS (one point forward and one backward) and that makes things SO much better. I'm sure the lights on the cab of the 5400 make things workable.

Hey Mike, just a suggestion for your rain water collection. With the hills and elevation drop you have (going down to your wood processing center), you have a great setup for collecting all of your rain water (before you start pouring cement). Dig trenches along the lenght of your building to accomodate 4" PVC pipe. Add adapters to your gutter downspouts to connect them to the PVC. You have plenty of room to get the "drop" needed for the entire lenght of your building. Once you have your three runs (includes the overhang) at the far end joing them together with a collection (manifold) pipe. You can then set up your collection tank at a distance from the building that will allow complete draining of the inground pipe. All of your runoff water is diverted away from your building. If your collection tank overfills, no problem, an overflow pipe will take care of that. If you find you want more collection capability you can add more tanks later. The main thing is to get all of the runoff away from your building. You might even be able to use the water for your future pool.

The gutter job was so cool to watch. They have that down to an art form. They no just how far apart they need to be carrying that 74 foot piece to where they now it won't kink and bend . It is a "mast" year for the oak trees. Every 5 to 7 years oaks go through a mast year where the trees all produce massive quantities of acorns -- so much that the squirrels and blue jays forget where they burred/hid many of the stashes and there is too much on the ground for the other wildlife to eat before the snow flies. It assures that the oaks will reproduce. There was a mast in our area the year I started my KZread channel three years ago. We just had the guys here to extrude our seamless steel siding for our house. Those are some amazing machines! The one they used had 5 separate exposed rollers to get their shape!

👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🗽🙏🏻 Enjoyed! I would drop the loader off the BX and put a hydraulic cylinder for the top link on the box blade and run it off the loader control valve if you don't have an extra set of hydraulic connections. The box blade is a whole different implement with the hydraulic top link, being able to tilt it on the go gives you the ability to cut dirt or just pull the dirt to the area that is low. You can also drop the dirt gradually by tilting the box up in front. It also makes backing with the box blade work a whole lot better! Same for spreading gravel.

Since I have radiant floor heat I did myself, I'm anxious to see professionals do it. The bigger the crew the easier it is. That pex is very stiff and the colder it is the harder to handle.

Good morning Mike, Those seamless gutter guys are fast! Amazing how quick they get a job done. We have a Mennonite crew who does it here in Wythe County, Virginia. They are fast too.

Looked like a good afternoon to spend some quiet time in the cabin. (alone but better yet with your helper ). Still not sure - What kind of "NUTS" are we talking about? Thanks for being us along in the build.. Take care always.

Quote of the decade " A bumper crops of nuts this year". maybe even the century. It couldn't describe this year any better Mike.

Super to be out in the woods! Why didn’t you take Hunter along for the ride? I miss watching you wench logs out of trouble spots. I think you will miss the RK55 for wenching out the big logs.

Great looking Building. If you plan on using the water for the building. add a sedimentation tank first to remove dirt from the water. Leaves can be diverted out of water easily. Miss seeing the other video's of your normal working. Keep up the good work!
