Today Melissa and I remove the rest of the fence and pull all the posts with the Kubota MX 5400. This time I dug around them first with the Backhoe on the BX 23S in order to make it easier and save the posts!

    Mike, I noticed at 4.52 in the video your glasses fall off. I had the same problem. Especially as I got older. As an RN working as a surgical assistant " for over 34 years" it was important my eyeglasses stayed on. I discovered a company that makes glasses with a small magnet that clicks them together at the bridge of your nose. I'm in no way connected to this company, however they are great. Just thought some of your viewers might like to visit their site . Once you try them you, like me, will say " Why didn't I think of this" . CliC glasses. Always enjoy the channel keep it up.

    From someone in Florida, who has had several pools in the last 40 years or so, locate your new bathroom on the outside wall and cut in an additional door to the outside. Nothing worse than having to go in thru the building in a wet bathing suit to use the restroom. You still have time to change your floor plan.

    If you want to reuse your fence post. Don't do like some people that leave the concrete on the post. While the post is laying on the ground just hit the concrete a couple of times with a sledgehammer and it will fall right off. Use safety glasses. Way easier to set the post this way. Hope you have a great day.

    You will find that you can lift much more weight with the three point hitch than the loader. Put a drawbar across the arms, use a big clevis and wrap the chain around the post at ground level. This works great for regular farm fence posts not set in cement, but it is usually best to dig a bit around the cemented ones.

By inclosing the pool with alum foldaway door and poli-cob 65% daylight we use our pool 365 days a year, select water temp that suits our neads at no cost. Enclosing pool was the best investment, I can use the pool via my wheel chair, once in water I am nearly pain free. Son made a chair lift to access pool. Just a thought, make provision worst you never use it.

    Mike, for years I operated forklifts. One of the worst things to have to put up with is uneven forks. One fork goes into the pallet, the other under the pallet. Slide forks together, put strap around both forks. If they bend, they bend together.

  • @realairplane261

    My forks get uneven too. Just get the high one up under something big and heavy and lift up to bend it down to match the other one. This will take several trials to do because you don't want it to be lower than the other one for sure.

  • @realairplane261

    @realairplane261

    David, how do you bend them upward?

  • @davidmorse8432

    @davidmorse8432

    3 жыл бұрын

    @@realairplane261 I have done that too. Remove the fork from the forklift. Then you burn a hole in the tip of the fork. Insert an eye bolt with a nut to secure it. Connect a high capacity come along to the eye bolt and also to the other end of the fork where it connects to the forklift. There should be a pin connection there if it is an "L" shaped fork. Pull till some permanent deformation is noted, then compare to the other fork. This is done in increments so as to not overcorrect. Do not use heat because it will take the temper out of the steel. The forks are made of spring steel so they can flex under design load and come back to their original position when unloaded.

  • @keithburch5506

    @keithburch5506

    Real airplane, yes, very true, can lift more without bending the fork. As senior in our shipping dept. I always got the new lift. Then, maintenance would come get it when I wasn't on it, and unload or move a heavy machine, then for nex 5 years I had to deal w uneven forks. Couple times I managed to bend other to match, but some jack leg would borrow it, and here we go again. Once, in 25 years, I got a fork replaced on a new lift! Came in an Monday, and the new one was curled back at the tip, pointing back to lift, it was driven into a structure beam. Couldn't win for losing. 37 lifts in the plant, all battery. I had 2, both propane, 15,000lb and 1,000 lift. Used outside to load flatbed trailers. They moved much faster so night shift always borrowed my smaller Toyota lift. Retired now, someone else's headache.

    Getting it done. When you where digging around the post, why didn't you take the bucket or teeth and push the concrete itself. That would had broken it loose from the ground. There are a hundred ways of doing the same thing. I would suggest that when doing the inside of the game room and other places that will be covered. To add places that you can add outlets and networking connections. Seems like we always need more places after the room is finished. Network computers , games and TV will start getting more fancy. It's easy to add conduits and covered outlet boxes to be used later if needed.

    Who uses ratchets anymore? Cordless drill/driver or impact driver all the way! Take your sledge hammer and whack that concrete on the end of those posts and it will typically come right off. In SW Michigan chain link fence is usually concrete corner posts and driven line posts.

    Hey Mike, just wondering why you put the building where you did? Isn't the pool going to be awful far from the house? Isn't the road to get past the building going to difficult to navigate with a trailer? Maybe you could get the drone up in the air to give more of a perspective about where things are. Thanks!

    Hang those lights up in the new building

    I was thinking you should use those LED lights inside of your barn for lights for now. Hang them by the rafters and should be high enough that you do not hit them with your tractor.
