I don't understand why so many people think that spec sheet performance is the only thing that matters when it comes to cars. Even if you can't hear or feel that performance. A Boeing 737 flies at close to 600 mph. But if you are on it, you can't tell it's moving at all. What fun is that? I build and drive "hot rods" with old school cast iron V8 engines and manual transmissions. NO electronics. My current one is a 1982 Chevy S-10 with a 383ci carbureted old school small block and a 4 speed manual transmission. It makes just under 500 rwhp at just under 5000 rpm. But it sounds and feels much faster and more powerful. It weighs 3200 pounds, and runs mid elevens in the 1/4 at the track. It can do serious burnouts, it's loud, it shakes like crazy, it feels very mechanical, and it is totally street legal and street drivable. What it provides besides power and speed is the SENSATIONS of power and speed, which are what is most important to me. Oh, and it also does not have any touch screens and isn't loaded with cameras spying on me. Only 3 of its 4 speeds are used on the track. 4th gear is much higher, making it possible to cruise coast to coast on the highway.

But the gtr had better run times, it was just that the gtr driver had the reflexes of stephen hawking off the line

The GTR lost it at the tree, by a lot. If someone had been driving who wasn't asleep, the GTR would have won.

Great video! 7.0 won’t happen. Not even close. Those wider track tires will probably slow you down. Take some seats out and you will get to 7.2s or even 7.1s. 7.00 is impossible with a Model 3 Performance.
