Let’s take my M3 out for drive
Do you have these wheels? 😀
Rip
Yeah, the guy chickened out, but I did race a C8 Corvette and a Nissan GTR in my other videos 😁
Woaaahhhhh!
Glad you liked it 😁
The wind was stopping that mic from picking up any audio!
I tried getting rid of it as much as I could in the editing software. If you put subtitles on you can read what he said for the most part 🙂
Harry Potter hat haha
She loves Harry Potter 😁
Awesome These brakes don't fade as quickly as well as offer more stopping power ?
Yes, exactly 😎 Carbon Ceramics!
Great interview! It was interesting about how they designed the wheels, the German and Japanese influence. I also like how you knew the subject so well to do a really good interview and contribute, but also let them do most of the talking.
Yes, I realized that. Will do next time 🙂
Loving my new Aeros!
I watched your video about them 😀 Have you noticed a difference in your efficiency?
@@teslasnek a bit. My lifetime (128,000 miles) is 274 Wh/mile and lately I’ve been getting 269 over the last 2k miles or so
@@chargepozitive Not bad! 😎 So you were getting 274 Wh/mi with the OEM 19" Aero wheels? 🤔
@@teslasnek yeah. Without covers too
@@chargepozitive we should do a video together where we compare efficiency by driving with each other somewhere at the same time and at the same speed 😀
Whoahhhhhhh!!!!
Woah indeed 😁
Fun day!
It was! Been busy since I got back. Will upload more videos from the track soon 😀

What are those wheels?
They're 19 inch aero wheels from AftermarketEV. I have a whole video about them here 😀 kzread.info/dash/bejne/eXusu9txe5i-nNI.htmlsi=qUIoyAx-IsIHSgwr
You don’t save gas going down hill? Just a question. 🤷♂️
Yes you use less gas, but you don't get gas back
Adventure awaits you !
It should be fun! 😁

Continue to keep educating about Tesla , you have a new subscriber because of it 🎊
I really appreciate that 🙂
Great information on some of the problems with self drive system… send it to Mr Musk… I think he would be impressed with your analysis!
Thank you! It was definitely a rambling video, but I hope people dig in to get the useful info 🙂

Yeah yeah, love you
It’s just Elon Musk making sure you’re paying attention while using auto pilot.
Probably lol 🤣
Fellow San Diegan? >_>
Awesome, great to have you here 😁
I'll be keeping my eyes out for those wheels at a supercharger so I can say hello ;D I just checked them out and I'm impressed that with the aero installed they're about 0.2lbs lighter than my 18's without the aero on. I'm still looking at other wheels admittedly for further weight reduction and styling, but these are very enticing for efficiency given what I do for a living and for content. Currently look at Team Dynamics Pro LT Racing wheels and the Enkei RPF1's @@teslasnek
If you don't know what are you doing with your life. Just show Chicago people aren't that smart.😂😂
Found out that you actually don't need to navigate to the next closest supercharger, you can just renavigate to the one you're at to keep the battery warm. Always learning new things 🙂
I never have this problem. I've never spent more than 5 minutes refilling my car with gas.
No matter how cold it gets, an EV will always start and be drivable. Can't say the same for ICE (no pun intended) vehicles.
@@teslasnek I have never had a problem with starting my 21 year old gas car in the cold. I live in NY and it gets pretty cold here. I've started my car in -15 f without a problem. Also I don't lose range in the cold.
@@EddieTheGreat. in places like Canada where it gets colder, many ICE vehicle owners have to use engine heaters so that their car will start, also, it is a fact that all ICE vehicles become less efficient in colder weather. You can't deny physics
@@teslasnek I literally just read a news alert that said that Teslas are having problems with their batteries because of the cold weather in NY. Also tesla charging stations are having problems, either not working or taking longer to charge. Also tesla handles that sit flush are frozen shut. Stupid design
@@EddieTheGreat. nope, just user error. Norway gets colder in the winter than New York or Chicago, and yet, EV sales there outpace ICE vehicle sales. The problems are being caused by people who don't know how to use their EVs and so they aren't preheating their batteries on the way to the charger, causing issues, which is what my video was about
Clever
I use this same method to heat my battery for peak power when drag racing at the strip 😎
Trash i rather walk no cares🤢🤢🤢
Walking is good exercise 💪
Tesla should be better with info like this. If you buy a Tesla, you should have a level 2 charger at home. I rarely need to use Superchargers unless I do a long trip.
My wife and I never charge at home because we rent, but we get by using public chargers near our house. I do wish Tesla would do a software update to add a way to manually heat the battery without having to do this.
That is a feature.. and what autopilot is about.. FSD Beta does the turn for you as well
I also have FSD, but I had it disabled for this video to show this behavior on regular autopilot. Obviously it's a feature, but it didn't used to do this, and I didn't see anyone else cover it, so I just thought I would call it out.
@@teslasnek ohh that makes sense.. thanks for posting!
@@sarveshjagtap3033 thanks for watching 😁
I'm going to try it tonight on my way home down Olympic parkway.
@@Rugged_again Cool! Let me know if it happens for you too 😀

What's up? 😎
@@teslasnek maybe one day I can see your car in person. Sometimes we use the superchargers at the Target in Eastlake
@@Rugged_again yeah, we charge there sometimes 🙂
You were in my hood (Chula Vista). I’m actually debating on whether to get the new Highland Performance but ONLY if I can get 19” rims. I’ve heard way too many stories with the 20” tires. I also don’t want the 20” rims / tires due to the increase in road noise and stiffer ride. I just wish that Tesla could just sell me the M3P with the 19” rims. I guess that I will have to go your route of driving it straight to Discount and going through the hassle of selling the stock 20” rims and tires. Seems like such a hassle.
Yes, I hope there is a 19" factory option for the new Performance Model 3 from Tesla.
Renault Megane E-tech Electric also runs on Google Automotive and does this in the same way as Polestar :)
Are those available in the US? 🤔
I'm not sure. I am from Europe and have one myself, that's why I know that Megane can do the same :) @@teslasnek
@@MdotNielsen do all Renault's use Android Automotive?
@@teslasnek No, as far as I know, it is only the new electric models on the new e-tech platform from Renault.
@@MdotNielsen Cool! Thanks for letting me know 🙂
Bruh Even Renault does this.... Where have you done your research?
Are you sure? Yes, other EVs can automatically route you to charging stops along the way to somewhere, but I can't seem to find any evidence that they can do what I demonstrated in my video which is the ability to manually add non-charging waypoints. If you could send me a video of someone demonstrating that the navigation system can do the exact same thing I showed in the video, I'd appreciate it 😀
That does look very useful.
Until we have superchargers on every street corner, this feature is very important for people with range anxiety.
BMW does this too
Really? I didn't know that. I stand corrected if that's true. The BMW Nav allows you to put in multiple destinations predict how much range at each just like how I demonstrated in my video? 🤔
Why I need to look right to see my left blind spot. So unnatural. Tesla needs a second display in front of the driver or a heads up display.
That wouldn't work for me. Because of the position of the steering wheel I prefer, it would block any screen behind it. The screen in the center is so much better for me because no matter where I put my steering wheel, I can still see everything
If teslas weren't electric and didn't have problems in the winter I would for sure get one
They don't have issues anymore ever since they put heat pumps in all their models. An ICE car will actually run out of gas long before a Tesla will if stuck in the cold with the heater running.
@@teslasnek you EV people are hilarious, don't listen to someone that thinks mirrors are just for blind spots
@@Motorsportsgeek people literally proved it on video. They left a gas car and a Tesla out overnight in 20 below weather with the heat running and the Tesla lasted twice as long before it's battery died. A gas car will die after about 30 hours. The Tesla lasted 72 hours!
@@teslasnek haha, theres a video of an old diesel Volkswagen golf idling for 24h and the gas gauge barely moved. You have to stop believing everything you are told because what you saw is probably a video biased towards EV. If Idling is important like police or emergency vehicles, guess what, they just put bigger tanks instead of a massive battery that just becomes dead weight when its on low charge. Come down here in Canada where it gets down to -35 C and you'll be regretting your EV purchase.
@@Motorsportsgeek I mean, I think Norway has you beat when it comes to how cold it can get, and 88% of cars there are electric sooo......... 🤷
Wow! That red car indicator is a great idea.
I love it! I truly feel like I don't need my mirrors anymore 🙂
You realize one blip in that software and you'd be driving blind with no mirrors? I really don't understand why people are so excited about removing their self determination while driving.
Cars in Europe have been driving without mirrors and only cameras for over 5 years without incident. I see cars with broken off mirrors all the time. I can see more with the cameras as they have a wider field of view, and they are flush with the body of the car, so not only are they harder to damage, but efficiency can be improved by as much as 10% just by removing the mirrors.
I still enjoy side mirrors for general observance of my surroundings. But I never turn my head to check my blind spot because this feature is amazing.
@@SweetShotGaming Exactly 💯 if you're camera fails, do the same thing people do when their mirror gets broken off: turn your head 😄
wtf
😂
Still need a mirror in heavy snow and rain...your 20k miles is nothing compared to 120k cross country driving with all types of weather
My wife's Tesla has 107,000 miles on it, and we have driven it cross country multiple times without issue. All the cameras still work perfectly.
Interesting. Maybe having both offers some redundant or back up safety?
The point is that the laws in the US are outdated. A lot of cars over in Europe already use cameras in place of mirrors.
@@teslasnek I hadn't known that.
@@paulchamberlain4810 that's ok, I'm uploading another video today explaining it further
