I think Emily made a good point! If koby actually wants to move temporarily! to Cameroon for the childrens benefit it would make more sense to make a move like that when the children are a little bit older 6 or 7 years of age like Emily said makes more sense, personally I think koby doesn't want to leave Cameroon because it feels good being back home & hes using the children needing to learn about their culture by living in their culture as a good excuse to get Emily to approve of his idea.

See, and this is why it’s so hard to date an American. What he says makes sense. Save cash, the kids small can be with their dads family for the first 2-3 years. And stop it, when they turn 5 they’re coming back to America to get the better education. And when that happens, the chances of those kids seeing their family in Cameroon will be a handle full of times in their life. It’s the “American Way” to just ignore your partners culture. This proves it right here with this clip.

She doesn’t realize how blessed she is. I’m African American, it would be a blessing to have a house in his home country as well.
This one’s tough, both points are valid. I can’t side with either one, they may have to compromise on the timing.
It’s a perfect idea, he can provide for his family and be an example to his children and family in Cameroon.
Lol Kobe is funny. What was he expecting 😂?
This is similar to Loren and Alexei wanting to move to Israel.

OMG HIS NAME IS KOBE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Of course, they have a great life in America, still living in her parents' home. I think they can compromise. Once the kids start school, no way she is taking them out to move to his country. Marriage is about compromises. IMO, while they are little is best, and then they can come back once they become school ago and spend the summers in his country. The kids get the best of both worlds. One of my best friends married a Nigerian. They made it work, and now their kids speak and write in three different languages and also know their dads extended family. They spend the summers in his country.
That’s a tough answer - time to think before answering and a huge sit down convo with a PowerPoint presentation lol maybe dual citizenship

Yeah, for now until they're the age Emily suggested. Then relocate until they are in their teens. Move back to America as late teens/young adults. They will become grounded adults.
This is a discussion they should have had before getting married.
America is not what it's cut up to be. No life work balance. You have make your own.
Start with moving within the US away from the maternal grandparents. Find a city with plenty of Cameroonian and other African expats 50/50 deal. What Kobe wanted in the beginning.
He just wants to build a house here in Cameron ..He know Emily will never move to Cameron .
He's sooo sweet heart,
He wants to be able to manage the cost of living. I wouldn’t do it, but it’s perfectly reasonable to request it.
Everything that happens until the age of 7 makes a big impact on a child. We think they don’t remember but research says otherwise.
A year or two???? Not bad AT ALL. It's doable but boss Emily would never agree to that
Love this couple
I agree cause I got rob from my culture not knowing how to write it or speak it.
She obviously wants to have the new baby with her own doctor and her mom around. When the youngest is 3 or so it would make more sense.
I don’t think it’s completely a bad idea they can def invest in making a house and atleast have it for vacation or in the case of an emergency they always have a home And back up in Cameroon even for retirement
The novelty of living in the USA runs its course
She didn’t deny him of the idea she’s just saying like right now it’s not the time they’re young. They’re not gonna remember that which is true memory doesn’t begin until the age of five for most children unless you have some type of crazy ass brain where you can absorb memory from the time that you come out your mama wound, but realistically has memory until the age of five and up
Check out the security situation in Cameroon. It is NOT safe place to live. Visit is one thing. Living full time there is quite another.

emily's right tho. she's not saying no. does anybody remember anything before 4? like she's just saying wait til they're older so they actually remember it.
Plus Kobe just wants to be the man in the household for once. It has to be emasculating being trippled teamed by his wife and his family every time they have a disagreement about something.
I think it would be great for the kids to live there for a year or two so they can learn more about their culture. Emily doesn't seem to be working anyways. Their money would go further in Cameroon so why not?
Not icy, just reasonable. And Kobe has the right idea too, it's just a timing issue. They should revisit this in ~5 years.
He misses his family and friends but how much money will they earn in Cameroon? He has to say, let's stay here for 3 months or lets work harder and move here for a year or 2 . Life in Cameroon is hard, better for kids but the US has better hospitals, let's agree on this one. Cameroon has 100% natural food, better air, more freedom...kids have to be at least 7 or 8, she has right but I understand him too
@JustMe-ug3mk

He survived and turned out alright, so his kids will be alright. If they already decent savings, they can afford to rent a decent place for a year and still be okay. The cost of living is low. I'm sure Koby had already done the maths and is comfortable that the numbers add up.

You paint Cameroon like a disney movie 😂. Natural food? Fresh Air? You think is Greece or Portugal? In Central Africa you get garbage and pollution, misery, corruption, ignorance, tribalism, crime and lots of terr.. actually I can t even write what you get over there. Oh, and there s a bunch of malaria too, lost a friend years ago.
I agree with Emily
I don't think its going to be as easy as kobe thinks, they were already married with a child and it took like 2years for his visa. Also when you're still living with your inlaws 3 kids later maybe a house should take priority over culture and let them spend the summer whilst they're off school. Especially since till now its been emily trying to teach then french and not the native..
I unironically think the kids would be better off being raised there over America with it's rubbish education system.
People attack Emily but the fact remains that she knows what she want and most people don't like when a woman knows and get what they want...,
Girl come on go on an adventure with your kids and husband. Id be like heck yeah let's go. Opening up the kids to their culture. I'd be so down. Stop being so closed minded girl. You're fear will trickle down into your kids and will also become fearful. You want them to be fearless and open minded.
Maybe they can try going back more for offen for a vacation, or conopisine something 😊
They can move to a neutral area where both families can VISIT. There's no need to live with either family, they are a family and should focus on their roots as a family ❤
No say no
But why you dont tell this early, when you are not married and having kids!!!
I'm sorry but hell no!
