The economy is really bad in Turkey. I teach a lot of students from there and they are kids but still complaining about the economy and wanting to move to another country.

To bring a foreign spouse/partner, British citizen needs to earn/meet the minimum annual income requirement of £29,000. Most of these Brits appear to have no proper full time jobs, doubt Home Office will give them visas willy nilly. Besides the entire setlement/naturalisation process is lengthy and extremely expensive. It is going to be bye bye baby after 90 days.

To get residency in the EU. It usually requires: Visa + stay in the EU on that residence visa for x years. But if the spouse is ABUSIVE, then a spouse can file for divorce on grounds of spousa abuse... and stay in the country (without fullfilling the x years stay first). So many foreign women PREFER a bad western "husband", because that will make it so much easier to get a EU citizenship WITHOUT being married for long term.
