That's the saddest thing I see in today's world... People are no longer really there, when you ask a question their minds are in outer space... In businesses people are always looking down or at their phones when you talk to them 😑 I always put away my phone, when I interact with random humans, even if I'm in a line to buy a gallon of milk.

Frankly saying it is not quite easy to follow these rules. But it is what brings us forwards, not backwards. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience with us.

Sometimes it is true that the world is stacked against you, whether you're ill, marginalised, disabled, prohibitively poor... I think you can work like a leader and reconcile these things. I think to say "don't be a victim" is to push away some key truths and injustices about the world. The best people work hard to change that but we're all human and sometimes it can be too much. That's human nature, not victimhood. It's possible I'm just putting words in your mouth though. I really like your point "there is dignity in all labour". Treating everything as a craft, and taking enjoyment in everything - I think that's a really nice attitude :)
